Quote from DHRammstein :Windows 7 is working perfectly for me, no complaints at all. It's fast, light weight, kills XP in performance, so unless MS purposely does something insane I'll be first in line to buy it. Nothing but great experiences so far.

Yeah it really is buy-worthy besides a few beta-bugs. However $300 usd is a bit much for software. Might just pirate it.

Quote from de Souza :Different resolution between Win and LFS?

nope, both 1440x900. both 60hz.

Quote from NightShift :LFS has always been that way AFAICT. Shift-F4 is the recommended way to switch between windowed and FS mode, anything else is not guaranteed to work properly (though sometimes it does).

It didnt take 5 seconds before.

Nividia GeForce 9300GT i think
500HD

2.5 ghz (<----im not sure about)

what fps would it be ?

Wrong subforum, dont post that here. Will start a whole convo about it in a test patch forum

Any more updates to patches? or is it gonna stop at z10 forever? =)

I noticed that when i ALT + TAB back to LFS it takes a few seconds from black screen to show anything, not sure if this is just z10, z, or windows 7. Anyone else get this?

options > controlers > axes > invert. Make it 1 or 0 depending on which it needs to be for the steering axis.

Quote from Lateralus :Just now I joined Race 3, and it was about to restart. I went to pit, selected a car, chose a setup and fuel and clicked Join just as the field had spawned on the grid. I had 6-8 seconds till the red lights started coming on.

Why doesn't CTRA allow me to join? Instead of letting me race, I get a "Pit Lane Is Currently Closed" messsage. Why? I can understand not allowing me to join 0.1 sec before the greens, but I had several seconds to spare. The server or grid weren't full either.

Weird, usually allows me to enter before green. Probably just an isolated event.

Will you guys SHUT THE HELL UP?

anyways about windows, I got very inconsistent FPS in xp recently, even after brand new hard drive, and switched to windows 7. I got average lower fps, but its a lot more stable and reasonable.

Still better to get a newer intel with newer architecture and newer tech. Im not expert on the budget c2d's though, so eh.
And just fyi, I have an amd 3700+.

I'd go with a newer Fanatec wheel, as their belt drive seems superior in noise, smoothness, and probably reliability. When you take the g25 apart, you realize how much low quality parts are used.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Gotta say I've had 2 G25's (first one's shifter broke) and both pedal units have been great quality in terms of durabilty..

My current set (approaching 2 years old now I think) and apart from the Clutch pedal slightly spiking around 10% travel (fine above that), it's fine. And that's only caused by the cable being pushed against the wall.

Which may be the problem here. Round the cable with your hand as they may have become crimped if your pedalset is against the wall.

Mine do it as well, and I assure you my wire is completely free from any force at all. I have a special... setup that prevents it from touching anything really; its hard to explain without pictures, though. It has to be internal.

Quote from Simpson :Why do you care about VWS that much when you are Demo player?
Ohh... forgot, there are allways unlockers :/

Did he even show any interest in VWS at all? He just posted a (getting old already) joke about lfs' slow development. Getting sick of those jokes but meh.

If nothing else helps, you may have to open it up. I gave this advice to someone in general thread, and it worked for him..

Quote from MijnWraak :That happened to me too - And i never go over 40% ffb ingame!

Anyways, I fixed this by placing a new optical encoder onto the end of the FF motor. Also replaced motors with different ones since they squeeked. Thing is now these are starting to squeek! I thought the g25 would last longer than this. Guess just gonna have to wait till it dies a slow painful death then buy a fanatec.

Also this could fix it: If you see where optical encoder is (end of ff motor with black box) remove the plastic black box thing. Now there will be a circuit board (i'm pretty sure you know what im talking about, just explaining for anyones future reference) and a black ring sticking out. I think if you moved the ring away from the board that it'll read more clearly and won't "skip" readings and un calibrate itself. Hope it helps, but can't guarantee anything

p.s. I also cut a hole in the case so I can easily remove the covering without screwing and unscrewing a bunch of screws + hassle(cut vertically from the circle for steering column, if you know what I mean). I can leave off and place a small fan and it should keep cool. This may help if you get the encoder working.

his pic:

Just try tightening those screws.

Anyone else having frame issues in win7 with lfs? I get around 50-100 in XP (with crashes and frame drops etc.) and around 20-50 in win7 (stable) Probably going to try new drivers, just seeing if anyone else had this problem.

Quote from anttt69 :I see what your saying but my original point was hinting at how these yellows get recorded as a negative part of your CTRA record. So it would be good if the system could distinguish between car types.

Plus we already have Blue flag messages if & when we're being lapped.

Just ignore your YFR and have fun. And blue flags are for you, not TBO drivers. If a nub is driving slowly, the others need to know.
