Quote from BlueFlame :I remember the best thing to do is to make the move a suprise (no not suprise sex/rape) but I don't know what it was, I was bragging to a girl that my hair was awesome and soft (because I use female shampoo/conditioner), and she ended up smelling my hair, and as she pulled away I said to her, hmm let me smell your hair, then as I said "mmm nice" I pulled her up and kissed her, needless to say that night in the car ended up very nicely

I'd end up headbutting her or getting a line totally wrong.

"Let me smell your hair, trust me I am normal - I learnt that line from the inter....Where are you going?"

My "first date" was to the cinema with a girl from college, it went well, although I think she was kind of waiting for me to make a move, because when we were saying bye she said "oh for god sake at least give me a hug"

(Im crap at making the first move)

I think if your aiming for as much coverage and attencence from the UK, somewhere smack bang in the middle would be ideal would it not? Fair enough all the people from London can get to a karting meet in bedford, but someone from right up north (meeeeee) cant get down there easily. Especially those in Scotland.

i37 (biggest UK lan party for those who dont know) is being held right in the middle and the attendance is massive, well into the thousands.

But do you know what - such a suprise - MIDDLESBROUGH is right in the middle of this damned island, on the east coast. Oh and what a suprise it hosts one of the longest fastest tracks in the UK, and puts on excellent group rental services and deals.

Dont expect hospitality from the yocals, though.

Going to plug this place until you decide one year that your coming.

Quote from Velociround :Steam achievements are discrete and only show up on the bottom right corner in a small "box" (exactly the same size as when you receive a chat message), so I think it wouldn't be a problem, but I don't see any reason at all why CS or CSS would need an achievements system. Some games need it (some people are motivated by these achievements, and even play the game just because of it), while other games can easily survive several years without them. I wouldn't mind a achievement system without unlockables, though. I love when I'm playing Team Fortress 2 and then get a small pop up on the right bottom corner: "You've won a achievement! ...." . Makes me want to play for more time than I intended to.

I have no idea how this perk system works, though.

On CSS most people (in high end competition) play on a lower resolution, as it makes the models appear larges (especially their heads :d) so a box that's otherwise tiny on a 1280 x 1024, fills up quite a large space on a 640 x 480 screen.

So much so that if someone spams me like 3 times I can hardly see what I'm doing.

Quote from The Very End :Long range rellationship can work, you just need dedication from both parts. If she's the right one you'll endure. Look on it as temporary. If she's the right one, and you stick togheter, you will sooner or later find a sollution (like moving togheter) if you really wants.

It's harder than normal rellationship, but more rewarding when they sort out after a lot of hard work.

And sometimes time spent away from the other half is the best time you could spend together.

Whenever I get one of these spammers (usually on STEAM) I take it to be my personal duty to destroy their moral and spam them for as long as my fingers will allow for.

Just play along with their act for two minutes, give them some fake username and password, then when they come back to you and say "I'm sorry sir I think those details are incorrect, are you sure you spelled them correctly?" just rip the sh*te out of them.

Quote from DTrott :Ranks and perks add a sense of achievement, it's something to work towards, a target.

Without it the game would get boring quite fast as there's nothing to work towards.

Take notice of the post below yours, I've been playing CSS for a number of yeras and its not boring yet, I'd actually rather it didn't get acheivements - will just make playing competitive matches more annoying when a big popup appears and blocks your view, telling you that you've walked 20 miles in the game and deserve some e-points for it.

Quote from lfsn00b :i am surprised by the amount of failure by several posters above this post.

To be exact the game was meant to be like this:

Someone comes up with a 4 letter combination, e.g a m i w.

Now someone posts and answers what he thinks the abbrevitation means. E.g "a man is walking".

Then someone posts a new 4 letter combo and it goes on.

I've tried the MX Revolution and I'd recommend something different for you.

Even if your not a keen FPS gamer, I'd say get this:

Its a Razer Deathadder, retails at about £30 and is the most comfortable mouse on the market, the top surface where the light is, is this sort of rubber material - and its the smoothest, nicest thing to touch, ever. And its tracking & accuracy match the build quality and comfort it has.

Definately worth putting up with a cable, the MX revolution is all plastic and cheap feeling, compared to the Razer.

Also, on the keyboard front - don't get ripped off and buy an expensive keyboard like the G15, I got one as a present and while being good, given the choice I wouldn't spend my own money on one. Get something cheaper that does the job, and spend the excess in the pub.

Quote from Becky Rose :Unless they can run 30 karts at once on a 1000 metre track you'll never see another kart. Karting is about wheel to wheel racing, not bruising yourself on an empty indoor track.

I wouldn't like to know what would happen if I skidded off the top level, too!

Come to teesside, you know you want to - longest, fastest kart track in the UK!

Quote from marzman : I don't know, if they made an MRT5 with one gear, less plastic and big bumpers around it i would believe it is a kart.

Never.

I would have pledged the same thing before I went karting. The feel of the kart is something completely different to the MRT, I found my pace going around the track was more limited to my physical strength and bravery - even the instructor said I shouldn't take the first tight right hander flat out, but after 10 laps I was just hanging on, almost screaming flying around this turn over huge bumps and practically drifting the last part of it.
