Quote from Scawen :But I can see that it could be worth a test. Maybe I can even run a local multiplayer test here using a remote server to get an initial feel for it before trying it in public.

My interest is piqued. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested, and would be willing to join a test to see the effects of 8/10/12pps during a race start. The pps change was the first thing I was hoping to see when reading your post if I'm honest.

Sim Broadcasts are proud to be partnering with New Dimension Racing once again, this time to bring you lights to flag coverage of the new season of GT2 Challenge. Each broadcast will begin just before qualifying at 18:00 UTC on the Sim Broadcasts Twitch channel: https://twitch.tv/simbroadcasts

LOGO PACK

If you would like to use the Sim Broadcasts logo on your skin or promotional material, you can download them from our media pack. Please follow the usage guide when placing logos.

DRIVER INTERVIEWS - NDR SPECIFIC REGULATIONS

If you are competing in the GT2 Challenge, you are welcome to participate in mid or post-race interviews.

In the NDR Teamspeak server, please join the waiting room channel where voice is disabled. This ensures that you are not disturbed by others during your race. You may wish to disable other Teamspeak notifications by deactivating the default Teamspeak sound pack (Settings > Options > Notifications > Sound Pack > Sounds Deactivated) or by setting up a hotkey to mute/unmute your Teamspeak audio.

Please note: Being in the waiting room channel means that you are prepared to be interviewed at any time. You will only be moved into the commentary booth if your speakers and microphone are unmuted.

Once you have Teamspeak installed, you can connect to the server at: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com. Please note that all drivers are expected to be connected to the NDR Teamspeak server anyway during NDR events.

DISCLAIMERS

Use of the NDR and SBTV Teamspeak servers come with a couple of disclaimers. Please make sure you are aware of them.
  • Members of the Sim Broadcasts team should not be disturbed at any time on the Teamspeak server so please refrain from messaging or poking them. Doing so will result in your immediate removal from the server.
  • We will try to interview as many drivers as possible post-race and will prioritise those with the best results in each session. We will only interview drivers mid-race if it fits with the race narrative.
  • Please try to act professionally during your interview and avoid any profanities. We reserve the right to deny you future interviews if you violate these terms.
This information is also available on our website: https://ts.simbroadcasts.tv

Have a great race!

Quote from Bose321 :Old people here Taped Shut

An event around xmas would be fun! I haven't touched any of my wheels for years, but I would like a friendly race with people that suck at racing like me.

This week some time, or next week? I'm up for hosting something. Maybe a stream too? Uhmm

Quote from Racon :Cheers Pete! Works a charm - another I must've missed that one moment for my collection Wink

Don't worry, after I posted my feature request, Mandula reminded me about this feature, I forgot it also hid chat messages.

Quote from Racon :I'd love a 'capture mode' with a hotkey that would just toggle every overlay - nothing on screen but the action.

Pressing SHIFT+F twice (or three times?) does this as far as I know.

Thumbs up Very nice. Congratulations to Rony for another successful year, to the prize winners and thanks also to WCL and Jari for sponsoring these series.
Extend chat muting functionality
mbutcher
S3 licensed
In a future version I would like to be able to disable chat in replays (without hiding the UI as well) and for the online functionality to persist into the lobby screen:

Use cases:
  • While broadcasting, sometimes a session changes from the lobby to track and vice-versa and chat messages are re-enabled, and require muting again. This is a problem for several reasons:
    • Sometimes with few cars on track, it is difficult to mute the chat and bring the game scene up before the lights go out.
    • Choreographing chat muting between sessions is a pain sometimes, often leading to profane chat messages being shown to the audience.
    • If a session ends, the chat sound plays because chat is unblocked automatically and that can sometimes end up being broadcasted also.
  • A more general use-case might be for people who make LFS videos. Muting chat in replays would make that easier I'd expect (Without having to hide the UI too with SHIFT+F).
Feature requests:
  • Disable chat in both single and multi-player replays (without hiding the UI).
  • Allow chat mute in the online lobby screen and let it persist between the lobby and track sessions and vice versa.
Possible implementation:

Add a third 'blocked messages' mode to persist chat muting between track<->lobby screens.

I would appreciate it if you would consider adding this to a future version. Thank you.
