Try Anathema's tutorial, and just keep messing with the pen tool. It takes practice, lots of it, but once you get the hang of it, you can make some nice flames.

I did these ones the same way with the pen tool. Not perfect but they look alright.

I'm not a big fan of carbon fiber or gradients, but I do like the design so far.

I wish I could have made it today, but sundays at that time are perfect for me.

I'm not totally new to LFS, but I lack experience, and I'd like to join a beginners league.

I also have some webspace and vb license for a project that never took off that could be used for a little something.

Though my time is pretty tight with the wife and the baby coming, if I know ahead of time I can work things out.

Its been my nickname for years, the x came about because I forgot an aim password way back when, the email I registered it with, was lost along with a server that was never replaced.

I have gone by a few other names on the internet, but I try and keep it all the same now.

I'd recommend dreamhost, they've been great for me for a few years.sometimes they even have a crazy deal, like $7 for a full year.

I saw someone had mentioned soldat, I used to play that like crack.

I seem to be having trouble getting the placement of sponsor decals right. Since this is my first mrt skin, i was checking out some others for ideas, but I cant seem to get them to look right, I was wondering where you would suggest to place 1 or two small decals. I was also thinking about adding some soda bubbles, thoughts?

Paint Shop Pro is a cheap option, but if you happen to be a student, you may as well buy Photoshop, its pretty cheap with a school discount.
