After a decent quality case for the iPad Mini. Want something that protects the back, but also the front (for the screen). Don't really need a stand or anything fancy, but want it to be good quality. Any ideas?
I got mine from DealExtreme. I saw a video on YouTube which was awesome quality so I went on eBay and bought one but bought a "knockoff" VGA version instead that looked identical - but was rubbish. DealExtreme sell the legit version - think it set me back around £40 + £5 for a decent mount (make the quality much better IMO) + £18 ish for a 32GB SDHC card.
EDIT - Quick example of quality - http://youtu.be/6hMkZViqUuo - the Date Stamp on the video's style is the biggest giveaway to the type of dashcam IMO.
I bought a new number plate in ~July 2010 and then fitted it with double sided tape.
In Winter 2012 I had to put a new front bumper on, and remove it... jesus it was stuck! I genuinely thought the plate would break before the glue gave way. Was well impressed!
Running "plate-less" isn't really an option in the UK, so it's never really bothered me.
Not really - it says it supports some new SMB file transfer protocol which should make it better but I think realistically the hardware specs are the limiting factor.
Not very helpful, but I have a cheap TP-Link 8-port gigabit switch with 7 devices plugged in using CAT5 cables and get the expected crazy network speeds (~110 MB/s from my laptop to my desktop).
Don't expect your NAS to be much faster though - my Synology DS212J can only do 40-60 MB/s over the network.
They were a (£375) optional extra from the factory. It's blue, same as the car. It's not a perfect colour match but I don't think it's actually possible to match a metallic paint with lacquer on metal / plastic to a piece of leather! It looks really good in the car at least (i.e. it goes really well with my blue dash, which is an exact match of my exterior paint).
There is a "blue" alcantara seat I could get but they really don't match colour wise and are very rare. I also can't really justify £200 on seats...
I did snap a (slightly!) better pic today
I swapped the steering wheel for a less worn OEM one, fed up of touching some manky old one every day
Postbox is faster than Thunderbird (by a bit), but I'm still not impressed - for a start it has a weird bug (like Thunderbird) where if an email arrives as already read (I have lots of Gmail filters to hide pointless emails by marking them as read) it still tells me I have a new email - even though there isn't a single unread mail in the program.
EDIT - That is to say, it's still a bit of a let down
