Calm down kids, so things have been delayed, it happens. It's going to be released, just not when planed. I don't understand how people get pissy because the Devs worked on S1 for a little bit, it shows that they care about the community. I can imaging programming new tire physics aren't a walk in the park either. Victor (or Scawen) said they they had to learn new things on the way when programming. You can't just expect it to be finished tomorrow.

To start a dedicated host, you modify steup.cfg, then double click LFS_HOST_CFG.

It opens up a dedicated and a command window, but the server goes online.

I currently have 3 servers online:
[itbrti] Demo
[itbrti] S1
[itbrti] Layout

Hm, I am running windows XP also. Just to check, what happens if you run it in compatibility mode?

Well supposedly the patched file unlocks for some, I tried unlocking without the patch, had got no response from the server, when I used the patched, it allowed me. So people that get "unlocking error" are connecting, but unable to unlock.

I emailed the dev's curious if they knew why it was unable to unlock for some.

I don't think you need two LFS's running at once. The 'patched' LFS, I believe, just has the IP changed.

Since you cannot hold CTRL and select a color for your name, you need to type the color in manually:

Example: ^7[itbrti]^0 Dustin would be: [itbrti] Dustin

Edit: checked the connections, everything is port forwarded.
