I can't choose as well
Amazing colours.
I hate you Pentax users, you can find cheap lenses from the film-era and enjoy them.
Damn Canon when they changed from FD to EF.
Some EF kit lenses are worse than the surprises you find into a bag of chips

No problems for me so far.Did a quick test to check the new things(apart from multi-screen)and all seemed pretty stable and bugless.
Well done Scawen, looking forward to the big one

Guys, let's remember people make skins for fun and they don't earn money from them.
A bit of patience

Quote from JasonJ :The script to cycle through the F9-F12 keys mapped to a wheel button is here..
http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/S ... .3E_F12_.3E_Off.22_Toggle
That example uses Button 0, so you will have to figure out which button number your wheel arrow butttons is: Go to the controls menu in LFS and press the wheel button, LFS will tell you what button is being pressed as it will light up in the menu as you press it.

True, this script binds one button to cycle one direction F9-F12, but you can understand it to make another set of scripts to go the other direction F12-F9 with the another wheel button.

For Restart and Pit, just bind the commands:
AND

to a couple free binds in Controls >> Alt + or Ctrl + menus. You can make those binds activate with a wheel button press in the same menu.

Thanks a lot.
I thought it was probably an easy task but i couldn't do it myself.

Quote from Dygear :Logitech allows you to map keys on your controller to keyboard keys. Try using that program to map keys.

Yeah,i know, but i wanted to just have a script and then drop it into lfs...
BTW,logitech profiler doesn't allow me to cycle thru f9-f12 with just a button...

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Meant to say "razor thin," not "razor sharp."

This discussion explains it pretty well:

You got to take into account the different circle of confusion also.
But let's not be boring

Lets just say that if you try to frame the same image you get less DOF on FF than APS-C because you would be closer to your subject(if minimum focusing distancec allows you).

Number 2 and 3 in the post are gorgeous.
Is the number 4 out of focus?
D700,right?

Hello,i would want to request a(i hope)simple program which should be able to put a couple of things on my wheel.
The things i want on my wheel(Logitech DFP)are the 4 arrows(up,down, left, right) assigned to its directional cross,a button to cycle thru F9-12 and another 2 to restart the race and go to pits.
I know that some can be done by the profiler but i want something that just stays in LFS's folder.
Is this a hard request?
Thanks in advance

Quote from libben :Is these kind of money really an issue?

Thanks.
I used to command my Sigma Ef-500 via the popup flash but as soon as i got the cheap Phottix set(1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers) the tiny strobe is no longer needed
Now it's much better, altough the top limit is 1/200 as shutter speed.
What's more,is you manually set the flashes you will better understand how it works in relationship to iso and aperture.
40 euros for the cheapo stuff.
Did you ever watch Zack Arias DVD?
Very useful

Quote from spankmeyer :Thanks, depending on the situation either CLS or Elinchrom Skyport.

Is CLS working via infrared?Or is it a radio device?
Nice piece of equipment with the Elinchrom.
What about the flashes?Sb 25?

Is there a valid "ghost car" mod?
I think it'll be useful to improve my lap times.
I see that the one in the first post is outdated,as i expected.

Nice setup spank, what kind of triggers do you use to command the flashes?

What a crap race.
It somehow looked a bit like last year race.
Safety car, fuel pump stuck in the Toro Rosso, stupid accidents.
I mean, why do i have to watch this mess?
If i was to guess the world champion i would have said it was a battle between Hamilton and Raikkonen, maybe Massa as a third contender.
I wasn't expecting the championship to be so unpredictable.
WTF?

Did you see how Grosjean crashed at the same corner and in the same way Piquet did last year?
That must be Renault second car which is specifically set up to spin that way
Anyway,Ferrari looks like it is in deep shit right now, worst qualifying session in a while and no chance for points tomorrow.
Lets hope no one crashes in the middle of the track.
Great lap by Rosberg in Q2.

Quote from tristancliffe :Yes, the laser scanning can detect small differences, but they don't check all of the surface of the track - You've seen the pictures. Close the camera car they probably scan every 30cm, further away once a meter. Then they move up and do it again, so it overlaps a bit, and then they do the fiddly bits. But what if they don't pick up on an important fiddly bit? It'll just be forgotten, but that could be the critical thing that makes the corner what it is.

As for tyre models, I disagree. Regardless of the tyre model, in an ideal world we'd still prefer to race on a real track that was real - hell, that might even highlight flaws in the tyre model that could be improved that we don't see with a less accurate track.

And I'm well aware that making a 10GB track file and expecting us to buy super computers from Sauber to play it is too much (at the moment). There has to be compromise. I just hope that the important details are found, used and retained, even if that means reducing the complexity of the grandstand modelling.

By the way, when you're hitting bumps at 150mph, a bump that is 2mm too high goes from being perhaps unnoticeable to being a critical factor in how the track is driven. 2mm accuracy - for those that think laser scanning results in a realistic track from a driving point of view - isn't enough. Least of all when the points taken are so far apart.

The laser scanning ensures the track is close to reality, but doesn't mean that it's an accurate recreation of the track surface.

You're right, that's why i prefer fictional tracks somehow.
I mean, its better to make a fictional track from scratch with bumps and thing rather than laser scanning a track but leaving important bits out of the final result.
Any way,Rockingham should be a nice add to the game and im sure it'll make many people happy.
Not complaining(:razz just my two cents.
Anyone knows about how the Iracing scan method is managed?I mean,i guess they're not going to laser scan the whole track, inch by inch,so there must be some particular working method behind.
BTW:nice cameracars Tristan, love the trackvision thing
