Quote from Scawen :Thank you for the test from Argentina. Smile

I wonder how sure are you about that? Is it measurable? It would be interesting if you could do a direct comparison, if you don't mind.

For example, a possible test you could run:
- download a mod with test option disabled, see how long it takes (preferably using a stopwatch)
- delete the mod from your mods\vehicles folder
- download the same mod again with the option enabled

That would be useful information, to avoid the results being affected by other internet fluctuations.

BeNoM reported no apparent difference before, from Australia:

Well damn. I have bad news

I replicated the test I did earlier today (with the same steps like you mentioned) just now and it made no difference at all. Weird since in that first test it did download faster (nothing else was using internet, both in my pc nor cellphones).
A false positive for now :/ . But I will do a test again tomorrow at the same hour and see if it changes, just to be sure.

A bit late, but decided to try D10 today. Cars and skins download faster with the HTTP buffer option enabled.

YES

Would love to see a server option for that in the future. Some leagues (like xpablo mentioned above) would benefit a lot from it

Either that or a way to hide unwanted mods.

For me it would clear up 90% of the mod list lol

If you (or anyone) have 7zip you can also open the setup or patch exe with the right click menu, then go to $_OUTDIR folder and there you will find the files

Quote from AR92 :According to my observations, engine damage widget works well for cars, but not works for bikes, i tried money shifting in many bikes and damage gauge was still at %100 percent, and the another bug that i found is the tire temperature bug: in online when you are spectating any other user, the f9 panel not shows the value of tire heat in numbers (don't know if it's requested by some people and exists by purpose). I'm putting a pic to here about it.

It does work with bikes but it depends which. I did a quick test driving max speed and shifting into 1st gear: The RZM 250 and the RZT 370 can get eng damage, while the Chimera X1 and Vulcan 998 are harder to over-rev. I guess its how the eng is set up?

The tyre temp not showing when spectating I think its intentional and not a bug. Its been like that for a long time if not forever

Quote from Scawen :This may be clear in your mind but to me it raises questions.

1) Are you talking about an option for the server or for users?
2) What are the reason? Aesthetics or gameplay?

We already had some suggestions on the other thread. If possible I would be very happy not to add options. Because (1) this is supposed to be a quick update, (2) every option added is another thing to maintain for ever more and (3) server side options are always more complicated and often cannot be added to compatible versions. So please do be very specific about your request and elaborate on the reason for it.

Should have been more specific. Apologies

An option for users to click on. The reason mainly apart from aesthetics/gameplay-wise is that its not very useful outside those specific events (Football, Derby, etc etc) so it looks more of an option to use when in those events. At least thats how I see it

In the end you have the final call whether to do it or not so its understandable you wouldn't want to spend more time on it if possible/can be avoided

Quote :Arrows on non-race small map take colour of first name character

If possible, could this be changed to an ON/OFF toggle option?

That aside, I like these minor updates, specially the manual pitlane limiter one. Very useful for custom pitlanes Thumbs up

Nice car, fun to drift Thumbs up. But found a few issues

· Cross-texture triangle found in LOD1 - mapping corrected
· The car seems to be set to "choose driver side" but looking at the animation I assume it should be Right Handed only

edit
· Animation stops if you use steering degrees higher than 40.0º (600º lock to lockº)

Got to see this car today. Noticed a Nardi Torino logo on the steering wheel.

Do you have permission from Nardi to use their logo?

Love the car and how it handles Heart

Found a little gap on the middle and where the rear windows are

The rear windows seem to have some kind of "outline" beyond the chrome borders which I guess should be matte but they are see-through (like it is on the front's windshield)

Quote from PANDA9915 :- Driver suits could have the same treatment like liveries and helmets because I saw the community sharing their suits and it's amazing

Quote from Eclipsed :True, that would be a nice addition, wondering why it wasn't done already before, should not be too much work compared to more complex updates coming in future.

According to Scawen's ideas after the big update
Quote from Scawen :[...] other graphical things like improved skinnable drivers, [...]

So that seems to be covered/planned/in the afterburner.

Found a little "bug"

When using the Wheel on the Right side, the indicator lights on the dashboard are reversed/flipped (See attachment below)

Found a little mis-placement

When using the driver position on the right, the beacon has a hole which I assume is where the cable goes

I see old car, I like Heart

A few things I noticed after driving it and looking around (i guess future updates cover some of it):

· The seats and the seating position (and thus the default view position) are quite low. By using some references of pictures and the videos listed below, I think the seats are much lower which makes the steering wheel block the view quite a lot.
https://youtu.be/mlOG30qBXQY?t=487 The shoulders are well above and over the seat compared to the mod which has the shoulders at the seat's level.

· Getting "Cross-texture triangle found in LOD2 - mapping corrected" when selecting the car

For reference/s about the steering wheel
https://youtu.be/H2QB6AgOBlw?t=93
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlOG30qBXQY (need to skip around a bit to fit good shots of it)

· The steering wheel is thicker than the IRL car. I think the size/diameter is fine (while the IRL one is quite larger, I think its fine for LFS).

· If not mistaken it should be leaning more forward (im not savvy with LFSEditor so I don't know the limits of what can be done)

· The animation stops working after turning the wheel 3/4 of a full 360º turn (270º).
In regards of the animation in general: Is it a temporary one that will be replaced later down the road?

It's a nice car overall Thumbs up

The suit skins currently are inside data/pic as Gutholz stated. Mind you that the files are used both for the Male and Female drivers (except SUITB and SUITR) so some custom skins might have black parts showing in either of them due to that.

For reference:
SUITB - Blue Suit (Only used by the Male)
SUITG - Grey/Blue Suit
SUITO - Track Marshall Suit
SUITR - Red Suit (Only used by the Female)
SUITS - White Suit
SUITX - Black/Red Suit

Hopefully in the future Suit skins will also use the car skins system
