But what you could do is, for example, give simple but easy to remember names and add symbols so they appear on the top of the list.
For example:
I have a XRG setup called BL1_race but I have to scroll for a while to get to the setup, so instead I rename it to 'BL1_race, or [BL1_race] , so the ' / [ ] character/s will make it appear on top of the list, and so on with the important setups. At least that's what I came up to avoid scrolling 5 minutes to find a setup xdd.
I've been in Demo for almost 7 years (mekhon was my first account -had to leave it because a tweaker were chasing me to every server I went to crash me with ghost mod, so thats why I have created this account, and forgot the password-, and this one the last one and the new main) and have enjoyed LFS every day I played it, which is one of the very little games I've played so many years, being GTA SA, L4D1 and L4D2 the other games I played the most. Even without Internet I end up giving me ideas to have fun offline with AIs, like make them use a roll-over setup or just an slow setup so I can drift-pass them, or just crash the AI 'coz bored. Or just do some laps around Rallycross, or try 2 wheels with the XFG on the car park, or discover "bugs" using XRG wheelie setup to reach hidden places. Or try hotlapping.
Even with Demo, there are many ways to have fun even offline and just having 3 cars and 1 track.
MRc was the server I visited the most, being the Drift and FBM servers. I rarely visit other servers like the DUB drift server, as I'm mostly on the MRc FBM server or LCS Cruise Server. Its just a matter to go online, be nice to people and you will get advices, setups, etc etc and you end up having fun and meeting people. But of course, Internet would be nothing if trolls didn't exist...
It is true that LFS doesn't get many updates, as it is not easy to update it like it was just adding a number, adding features and ignore the bugs. Devs really take their times to update it, and polish any bug a new feature -tyre physics for example- may generate, or track bugs where an square is missing on the middle and you fall off, or you touch a barrier and you get ejected to the Moon, and etc etc. And thats something people should really appreciate and also support the game by buying a License (of course, if you have access to a credit card/PayPal -I have no access to both of them, despite of being 21-) and obviously if the player feels its worth, or just report bugs, or suggest new things, even if they dont get introduced onto the game. Even little things can make a big difference.
Nah, Demo is fine with 12-15 grid. That's why its Demo after all, rite?.
Otherwise they'd be fully filled with multi-accounting brazilians, turks, latvians and lithuanians crashing/tweaking. Pretty much what you saw with these cracked servers showing up on Master Server (Reptile Clan servers for example) and LFSP. Sadly this is the reality of Demo, good players are hidden between these ppl who only come to ruin the fun on the servers. No news someone comes to crash on FBM/GTi Racing servers (MRc, AMG) almost every day. If it wasn't for a few servers, I'd rather play offline with AI.
Registration should be restricted some way, so you can only make like 2 accounts max per person, instead of creating 30 accounts on the same person, to start off.
If im not wrong, and from what I can understand, he wants rain (coz he saw a photo of LFS with rain -render/photoshop-), a Corvette (lel) and more objects to place (cracked detected).
I love it! Just.. Perfect.
It felt weird playing without your shaders hahah. The vignette filter gives some kind of touch that makes it look even better
Also its perfect for those that can't run Reshade or ENB
So, because 1 guy doesn't think the same as you, the whole community is toxic?...
Also, why don't you post with your S2 account then? You won't get banned for saying what you think. Yes, some people won't agree with your opinion, but thats it, your opinion and what you think. But at the same time, try not to lie to people telling things that aren't true ( Toxic Community for example ).
Well, I have been playing LFS for almost 7 years (I had another account before this one (Games02 was the first account I had) and Im still saving to buy S2 or even S3, and yes, LFS may not get too many updates, but the point is to get these updates REALLY polished and bug-free (yes, there are bugs on updates obviously, but its preferable to have 1 or 2 bugs than having like 10 or 20, like it was No Man's Sky).
LFS legit community isn't toxic, but kids are those who make it toxic, like the Brazilian guys from LFSP and same from Turks.
Sadly Demo is full of multi-acc (what I mean with multi-acc? 10 accounts on the same person for example). Mostly of multi-accounters are either from Brazil, Turkey, Lithuania or even Bulgary. At least from what I have seen on the server I play the most.
Tell me, what do you prefer:
[New Tyre Physics]
1º- 20 Updates trying to fix it
or
2º- Wait a few years and you may even get Tyre Physics + VWS or even have one track on it.
This ain't some kind of "Let's see how fast do you release updates" game. What happens if the next update brakes the whole game or they remove a car because the update broke it and it might never come back, just because people is so impatient and wanted moar updates??
Remember that the devs are Indies, and not DICE or ACTIVISION, where they have 10000 staff working on a game. They have a life and jobs and maybe kids and they aren't 24/7 working on LFS because of low free time to work on LFS. Or even a sad lost get them depressed for weeks and they don't feel working on LFS until it passes.
Its already known that the Scirocco will be released after new tyre Physics are done, theres no need to bring VWS argument to annoy devs.
Wanna hear the saddest part? Even licensed players were using LFSP. They spent their money to "support" LFS, but then you see them playing on LFSP freely. Just... Pathetic
Oooh, but on the pereulok thread: "#s2licenseforall or im gonna call mah bois to hack and shut down every server 1 by 1" "lixo huehuehuehue" "ama drift pro, come battle me for a license"
It's a great idea having a big map with real driving physics, but this will never happen in LFS. We have a lot of open-world games, but none of them have real physics. I don't understand why and I'm confused a bit because all these games are all about driving, but what's the point of it when I can't play with an Steering Wheel (I can, but it feels unreal), also sometimes I like to play on a gamepad on these games but I don't have too much fun like when Im playing LFS.
I totally agree with this, but at the same time, I think that LFS needs more ways to pay for a license rather than VISA, MasterCard, PayPal and Skrill.
Personally I think that they should search more ways so people who doesn't have PayPal or a Credit Card can buy the license. I do know there are pages where you pay via X so they add X money to your PayPal account without using a credit card. But maybe as for example "3rd-party" websites, that you can pay with local currency and with local methods (common being like a "Tax" "ticket" like when you pay the bills), so in that way more people can access to the licenses more easily to:
1º- Those that can't access to a Credit Card and/or that their parents won't allow them using the credit card to "waste money on a game";
2º- Their currency compared to £ currency are rather high, mostly on third world countries (South America, some Asian countries [Indonesia or Philippines or countries around them for example]);
3º- [Off-topic]: Those who have access to a Credit Card and/or PayPal, but still they think its worth to crack the game rather than supporting developers, which sadly even with the best anti-pirate system you implement, theres always a flaw that they discover to make the whole game "for free".
[I totally reject cracks on LFS, before anyone comes accusing me coz Im Demo].
Demo is fine the way it is right now, LFS has its fame thanks to the unlimited Demo [apart from the variable content/tracks/cars/features], which Im sure most people here have been there before buying any license, and yes, the Demo's cancer community really makes you buy a license to get away from them ASAP . It is kinda hard to find good people on demo tbh.
1º- Have either a S1/S2 or S3 account to upload those skins via LFSWorld website. As here on the forums nobody will upload your skin, coz' its like they dont and wont upload an skin for demo players.
Or
2º- Pay £1 GBP to get an skin slot to upload only One skin.
s_window_ALP.dds and s_windxr_ALP.dds are related to windows, but cant remember which one changes what. You should try editing those files and see what comes out tho.
AFAIK and what my thoughts are, the VW Scirocco should be released with the Physics/Tires update, which, should be 0.7 or 0.8 if there's no mayor problems, so we are talking like 1 or 2 years from now on, unless Devs surprises us.
Of course im talking from ignorance, so I may be wrong, but those are my thoughts about Scirocco and Physics.
I don't know if Scirocco will be part of S3, as before it was stated it'll be S1 content from what I have seen here on the forums at least, but it may be subject to be changed.
That's all I know by now about Scirocco since 2008/2009-present.
Im sure someone will explain better than me
-It's not a matter of being an ass saying "will not buy bcuz of X", but I think you can understand that not everyone can buy the license easily. Not everyone has the age of buying it, nor their parents won't borrow they credit cards because it is used for more important expenses to say so (not my case for both). If you see the calculations I made, you can see that apart from being not so cheap (Not that I say that it need to cost 2usd, but you know, 36GBP for one track is way too much, but thats another subject not to debate here), I would have to pay a 35% recharge, not to mention that I'd have to deal with "AFIP (Agencia Federal de Ingresos Públicos)" in english as "Federal Public Revenue Agency (FPRA)", where you need to declare Where you got those usd, how much do you earn in your job per month, and if they wish to, they come to your house and inspect from above to below to find the money and take it.
-Believe me, Argentina is not the best country to buy stuff from the exterior.
Not to mention that 12 years of populist government take us almost to a pit, not to mention the usual "homeland" speech for low-IQ ppl, and that we Need to invest in our country and not buy usd because you become a traitor, literally.
