i have a suggestion to the layout: i think there will be some problems with the sticks you used in the oval parts. perhaps you only need the sticks where the white line is not full drawn, but the yellow exists. so they are not in the insides of the fast parts (they fly around without directly touching them) but mark the entry and exit of the pitlane very clear

13 - 1stBFA#2 T.Wolf (lfsname: horschte)
23 - 1stBFA#2 M.Deutschel (lfsname: haelje)

if the numbers are okay ?

Quote from dekojester :I'll let that happen, but the first 1stBFA Team to confirm will be the one to score points for that team, to keep it fair...so 1stBFA #2, should they score any points, will only count towards Driver, and NOT Team standings.

d

really nice, never expected to score points for team ranking with the second one

the names for team "1stBFA#2":

1stBFA#2 T.Wolf (lfsname: horschte)
1stBFA#2 M.Deutschel (lfsname: haelje)

i have a question: my teammate horschte also wants to drive this race, so is it possible, that we both drive as "1stBFA #2"-team ? so we could use our teamskins for this race ? (this would be me with #23 and horschte with #13) would be cool, if we could represent our team also, the main drivers for this race and 1stBFA will be dislo and chris.

really great to hear about development in that direction

some good ideas were given about automation, analyzing mpr's and providing stats about that is a very important thing. i'm a little bit experienced in writing race reports and the most important for me is have informations to understand what was going on in the race. some used race stats have a "race time progress"-graph and it's a good information base, but i think the info in the mpr are more detailed as usaly shown. so one idea could be to have some kind of sophisticated analyse tool (as idea: zoomable race graphs), so report writers can pick the right scenes in the replays. i think the most people do it like this (if they were not part of the race or present as admin), you need information to put a good race report together.

for transfering news my suggestion would go to html. perhaps leagues can upload their css-files to have a unique style when rendering. with that you can do the most things which are important and writers know how it will be rendered.

an automation according to pictures could be some overlayer, the admins can upload and when they upload screenshots the overlay will be added to the resulting images, so as an example, all pictures from one league have the league logo and league url within the image and the images get a unique league dependent style too.

when it goes to other topics beside automating news, i have a lot of ideas. imo the most missing place is one, where league interested racers can find all needed info about existing leagues. and on the other side is providing a good league presentation a lot of coding work and imo the biggest step to go to start a league. from the view of a racer i wannan know all conditions of a league, their rules set, durations, tracks, participants, stats about participants, a tracker for upcoming events (ingame ) and a lot more. from the admin point you need a lot of tools for managing participants, making standings, organize race marshalls to view live races or analyze complaints, adding penalties and also here a lot more.

i think the most racers dont know a lot of leagues, there are some very well known ones but it's very hard to get all the stuff together to provide a well organized league. so the news are a very good start to provide information about the existing leagues, so everbody can recognize them. providing an interface for all aspects of league administration would really, really be a great and unique feature to lfs

there are 2 ways you can do it:
1. you use some svn-client (http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads) and then you use the following url to check-out the project:
https://liveforspeed.codemacher.de/svn/LFSWFramework/

2. or you go to the homepage (http://liveforspeed.codemacher ... SWFramework/browser/trunk) there is a link to download all as zip archive. i think the most important info you also find on the beginning of the install-guide on the page.

but atm i dont know exactly, if the "normal" version will run, i did a lot of changes according the owrl and did not check all side-effects on the current standard tracker. the goal is to port the last changes to the standard tracker, so it also uses the new features.

this week there was some more work in specializing the tracker for the owrl. so if you are interested, take a look here

i think, atm we are more looking for someone who joins the server on raceday and do the broadcast thing. i think we can only support with commentary, so one of us could be in a voice chat and can act as co-commentator. atm we dont have one with the pc and the bandwidth to realize an upstream by ourselfs. that's why i was asking more for people can provide a "whole in one hand"-solution for the last 3 races of the current season.

for the next season one of the first steps is to evaluate all the existing broadcast plattforms for our needs
looking for a broadcaster

hi community,

i have a request or question to the community and perhaps somebody can help. the topic is live broadcasting of lfs race events. the OWRL (www.owrl.de) wants to broadcast races of their master league, the OWRL F1. for the next season (starting spring 2009) there are plans in mind to build the infrastructure to broadcast the races. the question or request is: is there anybody who is able to broadcast live events and who would do this for the rest of the current season (3 races left)?

the races are on saturday at 19:30 CEST with a quali and then a 300km race. if anybody can help us with that topic and is able to broadcast events, pls contact us (pm me, or mail Krutch on the owrl-homepage).

if anybody has experience with broadcast-plattforms which easily allow to broadcast yourself in good quality, pls. write down the info, really any help is welcome and the aim would be to have the race next staturday live broadcasted.

thanks for your help

OWRL F1 - ^P^Storm wins strategy race in Japan

With his second win this season #3-^P^|Storm closes the gap to the leader of the championship

On the well-known infield oval Kyoto National circuit, this weekend the 7th race of the season ran through 60 laps. There were 2 new teams for this event - Formula Racing Organisation (FRO) and Innovate Racing Team (IRT) . Both teams marked their debuts in the series with points scoring finishes. #1-FPR|Matze took the pole position in the Top10-qualify and with that he should have the best chances to increase his 6-point-leadership over #3-^P^|Storm, however an accident and #3-^P^|Storm's good strategy prevented a third win in row.

But first there was the Q1-qualifying, where the intention of all was to end up in the Top10. Times driven online in practicing indicated that 1:18.0 would need to be bettered to get through to Q2. #1-FPR|Matze burned around in 1:17.19, the fastest lap in this session, followed by #21-NWRT|VeTeR with a 1:17.30. Third place was #14-spdo|M.Bont, who replaced spdo|KiLl3r this weekend. The 1stBFA-drivers with 4th and 5th place both got through to Q2 - the first time they have done this together. Behind them on 6th place #15-spdo|FiredUp and #27-FRO|Hibex with exactly the same time of 1:17.64. 8th place went to the second FPRdriver 2-FPR|Tisu. #3-^P^|Storm only took the 9th place, but like everyone else he also got his second chance to fight for the pole position. To complete the Top Ten #20-NWRT|Schum took the last spot with 1:17.84. Detailed statistics of Q1 session you can find here

Like normal procedure Q2 start with burning fuel by all the drivers, so they have the lowest weight for the important lap with R2 tyres. Lap times decreases in the last minutes of the session. #1-FPR|Matze floored all before him with a brilliant lap time of 1:18.48, which earned him pole. Behind him #7-1stBFA|haelje took the second place barely in front of #3-^P^|Storm with 0.01 seconds difference, so more pressure in the direct fight for championship was guaranteed. Suddenly #3-^P^|Storm needed to overtake two drivers to decrease the championship gap. But at that moment nobody knows anything about the strategies of the drivers. The results and lap times of the other Top10 drivers you can find here.

With the green lights in the race #21-NWRT|VeTeR could overtake #3-^P^|Storm before turn 1. A small crash in mid-pack was the worst of T1, which was not as bad as expected. At the front #1-FPR|Matze drove a tremendous pace and built an early lead.

#7-1stBFA|haelje could hold his 2nd place and was able to increase the gap to his follower. At this point the fuel stratehy began to play out as he and#21-NWRT|VeTeR came to their first pitstop on lap 16. A slow stop for #7-1stBFA|haelje and #21-NWRT|VeTeR was able to overtake him in the pitlane. At the front #3-^P^|Storm started to turn up the heat. As one of the last stoppers he came into the pits at the end of lap 23, which put his Q2 lap time with a heavier car than his rivals into new perspective.

In the middle of the race there was the decisive accident for #1-FPR|Matze: in lap 33 he couldn't avoid #14-spdo|M.Bont, spun and lost vital seconds. Also there was an accidental touch from #7-1stBFA|haelje with #21-NWRT|VeTeR on front straight, which ends up with a broken suspension after hitting the wall for #21-NWRT|VeTeR.
In contrast #3-^P^|Storm drive a nearly flawless race and he emerged from his second pitstop in first position, taking advantage of his heavier fuel load to run longer. This advantage was maintained to the flag for his second win in the 2008 season, infront of the man on the 2nd place #1-FPR|Matze. Third Place and with that 6 points went to #29-IRT|MaRDoX and his team. Using a similar strategy to the winner, #29-IRT|MaRDoX was able to gain 10 positions in this race. #8-1stBFA|filo was able to catch points again with his 4th place and took the 6th place in championship with that. On 5th place was #25-cyber|Misko, but the gap to #3-^P^|Storm in the championship increases to 11 points with that result.
Points also went to #15-spdo|FiredUp (6th), #5-OMC|JET (7th) and the last points scorer and also the first points for his debut team - #27-FRO|Hibex on 8th place. As overviews you can additionally use the championship rankings and the race statistics

In two week the battle for championship will continue on Fern Bay Black!

you also can take a look to projects like this , everything you need to use gauges is available there or here is some package often used for simulator projects.

i tried to push it to the alpha-state, but the time was rare this weekend (or the work too much, it's a point of view ). i cleaned up a lot and did a avery important step to hold the users and teams in the db. i also extended the readme's and install-guide, but i'm not completly ready yet. if you wanna take a deeper look, visit the project homepage, there you find descriptions where and how to download the pre-alpha.
please report the bugs in the ticket-system, it's easier to handle for me and the tracking of problems works better imo.

EDIT: all the update issues are not checked completely, so in some combinations the update goes wrong.

it's not possible without changes with the original HoTTracker because it uses pubstat 1.2 and the splits for pb's is in pubstat 1.4. so you need to edit the parts (the db-structures need to be adopted too), or you give the new package a try, but without help atm it's hardly possible. i'll try to finish the install-scripts this month. you can download the current working-version here: http://liveforspeed.codemacher ... d_path=%2F&format=zip

to the last question: i think that should work. important is, that the execution of the php-scripts works correctly, so i think you can also embedd it into a html.

the fopen-error look like you didn't set the variable
@ define(URL,"");

correctly. there you should enter the full base-url, starting with http:// to access the file on your server.

I have a question...
Where do i put the ID-Key?
is it in this line of lfsworld.php?

take a look to the /includes/options.php-file, there are the variables you need to define.
