if they really wanted to show this off why not mount the motor upside down then if it works upside down it can take off and get up to speed and when it flips over the motor will be right side up and wont have to worry about a problem

more smoke and more realistic smoke would be nice

ie. doing a burn out for a min tires pop rims spark and smoke is in side the car. plz plz plz devs make this happen it feels so fake to do a burn out at the end of a race and drive away form a huge burn out and the car is clear inside, it should be filled with smoke.

when i close the game if i click on the credit screen lfs locks up and i have to reboot.

we have a 96 impala with the 5.7L lt1 and 14,000
(yes its going to be babied its whole life ) with a hyper tech programmer you can make the automatic lay about 5 feet of rubber down when it shifts in to 2nt gear at 55mph Woodward dream cruise at 1am or so after the cops left

also my daily driver (01 blazer extreme) had a 4 speed with a floor shifter with 1,2,3,[D]. you can drive it just like a stick and it drives faster. let me explain
you pull up to a light in 3ed gear. light turns green hit the gas as the rpm hits about 2500 pull the stick down to 2nt gear and it will go to 2nt(more about this at the end of post) you then once you get over 30 mph it wont down shift so you can be floored. and when you want it to go to 3ed gear and drive you simply push up on the shifter and it falls in to 3ed

the 2nt gear part. after driving the truck for a few months i relised that if you put it in 2nt gear the torque converter slips and it will leave the line in 2nt so when you take off in 3ed it leaves in 1st gear and once you pull it in to 2nt it makes the trany go in to 2nt gear

ps. IT IS A TON OF FUN TO DRIVE you can drive away from the fool that leaves the light floored and goes to red line in 1st gear every time shhh!

i know there are programs that will track eyes ( a relative uses it to access the internet and send emails b/c he has lost all movement) i want to be able to just use my camera as a input. i dont want to spend any money on it

if you had a web cam and a program that would track your eyes and/or head couldn't you use the out put for where your eyes were looking to control the axis in lfs??
i know you can buy hardware to do this but is there a software way of doing this?

if your using a download manager it wont download the right file it downloads a .asp file

try using the browsers normal downloader not free download manager or any other download program

i dont want a arcade style drifting game
something where you can have a life u can drive and chat with people or go and battle some one driving around like in ltc but if you feel like drifting then you can or if you want to battle some one

k this is what i have so far
a insim kinda like ltc clc tc j4f and the long list of the others but with a twist...

a drift server where u get points for good drifts and it saves your points for each drift the more points you have the better cars u can drive. pitting costs so many points and the idea is to drift and drive just like you would in real life only online drift some turns drive and park(layout has parking lots now) and just cruise and chat. looking for some one to do the coding i can host the server. any one want to try.

maybe latter on a battle mode where you can do like !battle (lfs name) and go and at the end who ever had more points wins and gets points/rep

i dont think the gfx card is over heated b/c i have a big zallman fan and the room is pretty cool

Yeah, I get fantastic framerates. I run 60+ frames online and only drop to 25 at the start. And that's with an onboard gfx chip with shared memory. See, that means nothing for comparison unless you have my config file to compare my and your framerates.

but do you drop 25 fps with full grid and whats your res if its 400 x 500 or some super low then maybe then, thats true but otherwise i dont buy it.
your not useing a buit in gfx card and not droping fps at the start just like every one else here. there is no onboard gfx that isnt going to drop if a 300-500 agp/pci-e card drops you . one of two things you dont know what you have or your got every thing turned off and the lowest setings

we need dual core support
i got a dell xps all custom 3.4 p4 ht with 2gigs of ram and a 10,000 rpm hard drive and a x1650 agp (512) and the fps drop to 10 to 24 full 19 odd cars being the last car i dont think the cpu maxes and i know the card is fine b/c normal any were else after start is around 70 -80 some time as high as 120 -130

dual core and hyper threading support is what we need

hey buddy you can only see the world at 24 fps any thing under 24 gets all crapyyy

check what your bois looks for to boot to make sure its your windows install drive first then every thing else so its not looking at any thing thats not a bootable drive

turn it to max perfomance you dont lose any of the look and your fps will go up
i got a 3.4 ht (looks like 2 cores) with 2gb's of ram and a 9800xt (256) and i get about 60 b/c the screen refresh rate is set to 60 Herts. but it never goes down. o and a 10,000 rpm drive for games

change your diff you may be smokeing one tire and once it gets a little hotter then the other its just going to burn up in a min try a locked diff and see if your problem goes away
