I had never heard of Autoart models before yesterday... I was doing some work in a guys loft, and he had a load of them stacked up in there, all in box's, must have been between 20 - 30 of them all told. I had no idea they cost so much to be honest, or i may have had a closer look at them...
Yeah, i think i missed the e-mail about the rule change which must have said that the LRF class can turn up on race night, but they will have absolutely no right to be on the track, and must at all costs if they are, get out of the way of the higher classes...
I just watched "Monoposto at Croft, September 2009 (Race 2)", loved the "i'll get you next time, Gadget!" style fist pumping after the contact, and the virtual execution at the finish!
I'm perhaps not going to be able to word this correctly, or use the correct terms, but here go's...
Doesn't data transfer through Cat5e just throw away error's though? Like if a bit/byte has an error (through interference or whatever) when it reaches the destination machine, it's disregarded and it try's again?
Where as with a digital video/audio interconnect, if there's an error caused by interference while you're watching a movie, you have to view/hear that error. Or else if it worked the same way as ethernet, then you'd end up with a movie that looks like it's being streamed and poorly buffered (worse case senario of course...)
AKAIK if your monitor supports a horizontal scan rate of 15.625khz then it's possible to DIY yourself a cable up to do it, but if not then i think you're out of luck...
There's obviously ways that you could still get a shock whilst in that situation, i'm in no way saying it's safe , just it's highly unlikely to cause anyone a problem.
It's still stupid though
EDIT: Anyway, it wouldn't be a problem if it did fall in the water, they're sitting in a nice PVC pool, no-where for the electricity to go, except for back into the extension lead, causing a short. No problem...
Whilst i'd normally agree with you there, i was in the middle of a crowded field with thousands of tents, and living out of one myself, i enjoyed that straight out of the can...
