tempted to buy a autoart 1/18
hi,
anyone here got a autoart car in 1/18th scale car been looking on ebay at them and damn there tempting.
discuss them
theyre really detailed but hella expensive
if u get one post pics
Ah, best money I ever wasted?

I own 2 1/18 scale AUTOart models one was baught damaged at a discount though

going to add some quick pictures I took ( just testing out the camera on my cell )

1/18 is awsome, however, if you are a fan of AUTOart detail 1/12 would be the way to go in my opinion.
18 years old and still playing with toy cars

EDIT: rushed photos. I realised the camera was rubbish in the darkish, so meh. the Lamborghini has some nice details but they would be difficult to show, I still recomment 1/12 for detail.

EDIT2: all I want for christmas. :-)

I have these from AutoArt. They were 80 euro at the time.

Quote from brt900 :...nitronitrous you got any pics and how is the suspension on it does it have working suspension etc...

Well, I don't have pictures of my models and can not take them because now I'm studying abroad, but I found these in Google

Evo
Evo 2
Altezza (Mine is whte)
Saleen Mustang

Just found a pic of my collection.

First shelve: Alfa Romeo 156 WTCC of Nicola Larini, Peugeot 206 WRC, BMW 325i Cabrio E-36, Ferrari 456GT, Porsche 911 993, Porsche 911 GT3 996, Renault Alpine A110, Toyota Altezza, Chevrolet Caprice Police car, Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Renault Clio V6

Second shelve: Dodge Concept, Aston Martin DB7 V12, Mitsubishi Eclipse FnF, Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Chevrolet Impala SS, Chevrolet Impala Taxi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution TME, Opel Manta GSI, Mini Cooper, Lamborghini Murcielago, Saleen Mustang S351
The others: Honda S2000, Cadillac XLR, Jaguar X-Type, BMW Z8, Ford Mustang Match III Concept, VW New Beetle (with porsche rims ), VW W12 Coupe, Buick Riviera 70s, McLaren F1 of Mika Hakkinen

I also bought a Nissan Skyline R32 of the JGTCC made by Kyosho being here in Italy, from a teacher

AutoArt cars don't have suspension, at least they don't use sprgins like Maisto does. They are slightly flexible though. On the other hand, they have rotating brake disks with static caliper and some other cool details.

That Porsche you're looking for is damn hot
I stopped buying models because I'm abroad but I'll go on some day in the future
both my AUTOart models have realistic looking suspension for the cars they are on ( i guess ) springs + dampers ( yes I took my cars apart the first chance I got - its a habit ) the suspension is only for show however, the dampers cannot be compressed so the springs are not allowed any room to move. the upper and lower control arms have no point of rotation either.
On the Mercialago I have the rear has two shocks/dampers per side, Looks brilliant.

With the Detail and thought put into their 1/18 scale models I had hoped the 1/12 atleast would have working suspension.
I had never heard of Autoart models before yesterday... I was doing some work in a guys loft, and he had a load of them stacked up in there, all in box's, must have been between 20 - 30 of them all told. I had no idea they cost so much to be honest, or i may have had a closer look at them...
Quote from anttt69 :Thats not a dodge its a beamer?

That's not a beamer, it's a bimmer.

...beamer implies it has two wheels, and I assume there are two on the other side too, making 4.
I Have a identical one from the picture below.

Exactly the same as mine, but Mine is a different team.

Cant find my version anywhere..

This sold for £60

This cost my dad nothing..

We bought like 100 1/12 models for like £20 All mint condition in the little box, Every racing series you can imagine.
