Could this stuff be programmed with an insim app? The CTRA and other scripts are pretty powerful, but i don't know how much of it can be realized with a server-side script.

I had to decide once either to attend a university here in germany or to work in Dubai. I pretty much regret the decision not to go to Dubai because i changed my course of studies after only one year and had to start all over again.

If your sister/family would be fine with your decision, do it. You will hate the "what if" moments you have when you don't go.

Max Ernst form our team once competed at the Deutsche Kart Meisterschaft (german cart championship) and at the Formel König (junior formel championship). After private and financial issues he had to stop reallife racing.

It really sucks that racing is that expensive... hope to compete someday at a little cup or racing event.

Knytt Stories is the latest title and it's basically a 2D platform-game where you have to find items to complete a level. Sounds boring but the gameplay, graphics, music and the overall atmosphere is really amazing.

Nothing for someone who likes fast paced shooters or stuff like that, but if you love adventures and good gamedesign, knytt is one of the best games you can play.

I get the effect, but it's pretty difficult to get it. Don't rotate the 2nd camera that much, you only can focus on the inside of the car without problems.

it also has to do with your screensize. on a 15" screen objects "travel" less way between two points than on a 42". Thats why some HDTV standards use 50 instead of 25 FPS.

As said, games need a much higher framerate to look realistic, because of the lack of blur. Other synthetic animation like cartoons try to fake the blur. At http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/snapanimation you can see a tutorial how you can do it in Flash.

Really good show! For someone like me, who is in the scene for like one year or something, the history part was pretty intresting Also i liked the insight to the other simulation leagues/events. Nice to see what else is happening in the sim universe ^^

And please keep the real brands vs real simulation etc. discussion out of here Oo At the end of the day the only thing that is for sure is the fact that LFS has annoying fanboys ^^

There should be somekind of driving lesson for gentleman driving you have to pass for racing online ^^

I like the approach of the CTRA licence system, but getting licences only thorugh points isn't the best way. There should be a global licence-system with somekind of a mixed system. You have to get the points to be permitted to perform a test of maybe 3 races under the supervision of an examiner, where you have to drive clean and good. Only after that you can race on servers using a higher licence standard.

Without that it's kinda impossible to drive races on public servers without getting kicked out in every secend race

as you see on the comments, i wasn't really active for quite a while... for a 3D guy like me it's too much anime and emo stuff ^^

I really like that on LFS there is nearly no discrimination/racism or anything else, just people racing together but i wouldn't call that multiculutralism. Almost everyone here is from the "western world" and there are only a few people from Africa, the middle East or other countries with a total different culture. In addition i don't think there are many cultural discussions about traditions, mentalitys and so on. As Hyperactive said:
"It is very neutral environment and as such it is either extremely multicultural on it has its own culture which is very homogenic" totally agree with that

only own a PC, BUT i really like playing Nintendo and some PS2 stuff as long i can play it with friends. I really like this direct 1 on 1 competiton you don't get from playing at a PC.
