Still, you shouldn't get errors booting into safe mode. The whole purpose of safe mode is to boot only necessary drivers, and if it isn't booting your graphics drivers that's a problem

Any funky peripherals plugged in? "dinput8.dll" is the fault module, which would suggest it was some faulty controller causing it. Try rebooting your PC in safe mode with just mouse and keyboard plugged in (obviously speakers and monitor too ), then run LFS and see does it crash. If it does, it's probably a dodgy driver or controller crashing

Hmm, dunno so I was always taught to ride in the worn dug outs made by quads, and they were called berms...

If you want a quick fix to calm you down, go for a walk, stay off the computer, go to bed early, don't sleep in late, get a prescription for medication (valium or whatever, maybe even sleeping tablets, don't go touching that "non-prescribed" stuff ) or go on a drinking spree.

If you want to fix the problem for good, or at least on a more permanent level, go see a psychiatrist or even your GP and talk to him.

Don't go rushing into getting a gf to try and solve this, sudden social situations could make you worse

Quote from SamH :dougie, the promotion/recommendation of software piracy of any kind is not tolerated on this forum at all. I thought that message had got through but apparently it still hasn't.

Sorry, I was trying to promote the game itself rather than piracy, I did suggest that he bought the game as soon as possible though. Unless he has a credit card or paypal with him, in which case he could buy it now

Isn't it the "dug out" section where others have cut a path?

Try looking for World of Goo. You can't download it for free, but you could always download it for now, and buy it when you get back (it's something like $15, well worth it).

Other than that, look around Cnet and pick out some games you like the look of. It should be very easy to find a few games there that take your fancy for less than 50MB

In trail riding it's called a berm. It's the path layed down by others, and it's both the quickest way around a corner, and also the grippiest. I'd call it a berm, or maybe the racing groove. I wouldn't call it a racing line, as the quickest line is not necessarily the racing line

Quote from caseybavier :I was wanting to make a skin for my favorite car, the XRT. But I can't find any templates that work with the stock windows paint app (ms paint). Also if you have any drift skins for this car that you would like to share with me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a goodnight!!

The default blank skin files should work with paint, they should be in LFS/Skins. If not, you'll find them with with the CMX viewer, which also allows you to preview your skins on a car

I've been meaning to suggest that we get separate ignition and starter buttons for a while now, á la rFactor It's much neater, you only have to press a button once, and even if you hit it twice it's not the end of the world, the engine doesn't die

Quote from Bose321 :I don't know what you really want; something Jackhammer-ish, or a alot less like the logitech things.

Something that gives out a good bit of deep bass, not enough to rock the whole house, but enough to be felt at a reasonable sound level. I'm not sure how to explain it really, but something that gives the current setup a bit of kick

There is no file to delete to get more money.

There is no file to create to get money (unless you get FTP access to the server of course :P)

There is no (known) cheat or exploit to get money.

There is no (known) cheats for any of LFS in fact.

There is NO way to exploit money out of a cruise server. Even if you did manage it using a new hack or cheat, you would be promptly banned...

Hmm, car route sounds awkward and expensive, don't fancy rigging up an amp or another half PC

I do like the look of the Z3's, and they seem to be close enough to my budget. I'll have to have a look around for em after Christmas, can't seem to find em online on any normal site other than Amazon, which doesn't ship to Ireland

Right, I'm looking for something to increase bass in my speaker setup (no, not trying to cram over 9000 subwoofers into a Ford Fiesta ) for my PC, which I use for music, gaming and movies. Attached are my current speakers, in quadrophonic setup (big black ones are front, grey ones are rear), but they're missing a good kick. For games, music and movies, I reckon it needs more bass, and not just turning up the equaliser, but to have physical bass. I've been looking at getting ready-to-go stuff off Ebay, but it's all €200-500, which I have no intentions of spending. My max budget for this would be €50, everything included, but with the current €-£ exchange rates now is as good a time as ever.

I was thinking of getting a subwoofer for a car, like this or this (I'm not up on these, so I don't know what size, wattage or anything is best), and mounting it in a timber frame. But I don't know how to power it or how to plug it in to the PC. I have no problem doing wiring and whatever, but I can't do complex circuitry...

Has anyone any experience of this, or any advice? I stress I'm not looking for HUGE bass to shake the room, but just something to make it more noticeable (Although as an added bonus I should be able to crank it up and piss off the neighbours ). I also looked at the chair-mounted ones, but I need it to work throughout the room.

I bumpstarted the LX4 in 6th at ~10mph yesterday

Put it in the 6th, full throttle, dump the clutch. Then slowly pull in the clutch, keeping the throttle down. Works for me in almost every car

They should all go at 20mph, if you use 5th/6th...

I think it does help a bit with gears and pedal control. The handling of the cars really can't be compared to driving a real car though, as you have no forces acting on you, and you can't really feel what the car is doing. It definitely won't do any harm anyway, I played LFS for a year with a G25 before getting my first car and I haven't crashed yet
