Here’s a quote from the rF site…

LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 10, 2006 – Image Space Incorporated (ISI), a well-known name in racing simulation, announced today it has designed a game that will bring the ultimate Formula One racing experience to PC gamers. The customized racing simulation premiered at the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park event at the European Grand Prix in Nürburgring, Germany on May 7th, and will also be showcased at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 10th.

Am I reading this right rF is saying they are being used throughout?

Seems I recall Scawen saying LFS was being used for the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park in Germany. While rF was being used for the Intel US tour????

I don't feel an understeer condition in LFS, as in a long sweeping corner, the front is pushing but the FF feels the same weather I increase or decrease the amount I'm turning the wheel.

I think I get the correct feeling in the FF as if accelerating off a corner and there is a bump ( T1 at Sprint 1 ), I will feel the wheel go light as the tire leaves the ground. In the case of an oversteery car, loosing the rear, I feel the correct forces trying to get the car straightened up.

As apposed to tristancliffe, I do feel the understeer in NKP and GTR quite well.

Matter of FF setting

FF = 100%
Spring = 0%
Damper = 0%
Center Spring = Checked - 0%

25% to 45% in LFS depending on car

Quote from tristancliffe :Kev, do you use Shift-F mode? I know it's not ideal with no flags or map, but it does hide the split times. I have used this mode to great effect in Vixen once, when I needed to concentrate on being consistent - I enabled qualifying mode (shift-f) and just drove. It turned out that that 'stint' was my fastest stint too, as I was 100% concentrating on driving.

Gotta agree 100%, SHift-F gets rid of all the distraction, that and block messages. Just the track, car in front, car behind. That's realy all you need to know. I get much more focused durring a race.

Now if we only had a small pitboard pop-up at the start/finish line with position/lap time/diff to car in front/diff to car behind, it would be ideal

Quote from steve :I use the custom external 2 view, and I would like to have the wheel and drivers arms turned off, I dont like the normal incar view because its to far back for my liking, but that seems to be the only way to turn off arms and wheel. Can I turn them off in custom view? or is there something im missing here? thanks

I use the same view, it gives you more options of placing yourself in the right position in the car. In my case I set my (virtual eyes) inside the drivers helmet. Seems to work for every car. This might be another option in views? I too would like to be able to turn the drivers arms and wheel off.

I would also like to see the option to have just the virtual mirror. As it is now mirrors options are... off / real / real + virtual.

Quote from f1simfam :BMW Sauber F1 in the Upcoming LFS S2 Patch [17-04-2006 | JZ | Comments (6) ]
The big surprise seems unveiled now, the upcoming patch will contain a BMW Sauber F1 car! Check out the render in our screenshots gallery.

After Sony bought the F1 license for many years, we haven´t seen any PC simulation containing F1 cars. So this is big news for all F1 fans out there, having F1 back on PC platform and then even in the best driving simulation that exists!

Has to be Quote of the day by the final comment...

Well if there was any doubt, it's been confirmed now by the release of the new car viewer which includes a Sauber plus their two liveries. All hell has broken loose in a tiny corner of the internet tonight.

With the teaser pics of the fogged Blackwood and the BMW F1, I can imagine the Blackwood Forest Guru sitting back on his favorite stump listening to this...

Quote from banshee56 :Just a thought...and I don't want to speculate, but in the registration information in the North American League, CWMAX says that he is from the "Big Easy". I sincerely hope that is purely coincidence and that he is not from Louisiana. If he is, my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family for their safety.

Yes I am from New Orleans, just west of in Kenner. I left before the storm, you don't stand in front of a Cat5 Hurricane. I am now in Panama City Beach Fl at a Red Cross shelter. So far everyone here has been super nice and very giving. I have no idea when I might return to racing, no idea when I will be able to return to my place. Till then, I have temporary shelter and food. Unfortunate for those that could not leave the area, was hard to watch on TV.

Thanks all for your concern
