Quote from Dorikat :Man you guys are really funny, not to mention Epicly mature.

Says the guy who uses "gay" to show his displeasure at the lack of image signatures on the forum.

Maybe it'll end up like qualifying practice from the late 90s, where you had everyone trying to find someone to slipstream, but also trying to keep the others off them.

Brands Hatch 1997 is a perfect example, and also marked what I think is the peak of WSBK. You had all the big names like Chili, Fogarty, Slight, Edwards etc. fighting it out, then the mass of British wildcards like Mackenzie and Rutter, and then the privateers (regulars, wildcards and European SBK contenders). 30 riders grids for nearly every round, it was great.

Quote from danowat :I am prepared to be proven wrong, but I am under the impression its still a top 16 superpole (flying lap) system this year.

Would be nice if it was, I liked that system (even if it was just made for TV).

I think they changed it for this year. Used to be that the top 16 each did a single flying lap, but now I think the top 20 go into a series of knockout sessions like Formula One.

I have basically no idea how to make a web site so it's not at all professional. It's pretty much just a template from Dreamweaver with the buttons I made in Photoshop! Glad you like it though, things are steadily progressing. I have the live Sky Sports coverage of every race from 1993 to 1999, bar one, and that's all being uploaded to YouTube. Fingers crossed that copyright claims don't bring it down.

It's great to see so many familiar names again. Tamada, Muggeridge, Corser and Haga etc. I can't wait for the races, this looks like the first year since about 2000 that I'm actually interested in. Nothing will beat the 96 - 99 era, but this might come close to matching.

I suppose this is a good time for me to plug my website too. Documenting the World Superbike series from 1990 to 1999, with race reports, videos, complete results and entry lists and more. Visit www.wsb-archives.co.uk (still under construction but a fair bit of info is there).

Impressive, a thread about the worst F1 drivers and no mention of Al Pease.

Al Pease entered the Canadian GP from in 1967, 68 and 69, driving an Eagle T1G. In 1967, his car's battery went flat on the far side of the circuit. Despite the rain, he ran back to the pits, got a new battery, ran back to his car and fitted it himself, then eventually finished the 90-lap race, 43 laps down.

In 1968 he didn't qualify, his fastest lap being 15.8 seconds off the pole time and 8.4 seconds off the driver in front of him.

In 1969, he was disqualified on lap 22 (some 25 laps down). The Matra team boss had lodged a protest with the organisers because Pease was too slow.

I think that's pretty much the worst F1 performance ever.

Tried a rain shot. There's a comparison between the original, my edit, and my reference pic too.

I might get in on this, my first LFS experience was the banger racing UF1 server in summer 2005, anyone remember that?

I made a version of this for the XRG a while ago, I guess it can be converted to the XRT quite easily.

Quote from drifter92 :what u talking about,u lose grip to drift

If you had no grip, you wouldn't be able to move.

Quote from drifter92 :what do u meen by that

Presumably someone who can't form a coherent sentence, spell any word longer than 4 letters and look to see if what he's saying has been said before.

Stop calling it 'grip racing', drifting would be impossible if there was no grip.

Quote from Resound :I don't use a clutch pedal and I don't have any problems either.

Same here, I don't see how hard it is for some people.

Quote from Nakkitartsani :for example you can find Colin McRae rally legend dvd from that site and you think that's not illegal? So it must be okay too if I give url to patch Y crack..

It is illegal, but the DVD is not software. LFS is.

Well first you're going to need your pedals on separate axes, assuming you use pedals.

You probably have the pit limiter on. Press 'L'.
