Hi Becky,

Quote from Becky Rose :There is no LFS problem here. That sounds like an issue with my odd compo software

Ouch... it looks like I did a OT Post accidently here then. Sorry
I was on the UKCT Odd Compo Club. I had to look in LFSWorld where I was because there is a UKCT Odd Compo Club and a UKCT Odd Combo Club

And no, I don´t moan. Since I was alone (sadly) it wasn´t really a Problem
(But fun, so I say thanks for the Odd Server thing )

OK... end of OT

Not really just a W Bug... but since it isn´t mentioned in the Changelog I think it still exists here.

I played with V Version on the OddCombo Servers. I was racing the Fox. Then the Track / Car Combo changed. I thought I am no forced to change to the FZ5, but I could still drive my Fox. I could even enter the Pits, change Setup and race again... with a car which was not allowed to race.

Is it possible to check if you have a "allowed" car when you press the ENTER Button to enter the Race?

I had one. It was the Guillemot (AFAIK Thrustmaster now) Ferrari Force Feedback Wheel. It hat 2 digital Paddles and just below two analogue Paddles which only worked when you plugged off the Pedals. Perfect for handicaped people who can not use their feet. Sad that I saw no other wheel with this function again.
The Position of the digital and analogue Paddles was perfect. You could Accellerate and Brake with your lower 2 fingers, shift with the top 2 fingers and had still enough grip to the Wheel to steer properly.

And if you turn your head 180 Degrees you can see this (my Girlfriend says the Cat is watching "Bird TV")

@Hyperactive: I agree 100%. Nice Idea with that "relative to WR" thingy

Quote from Hyperactive :
I really don't like if my programs start automatically checking and comparing things and stuffs, I prefer the manual route.

I agree with you that there should be no automatic Checking. It could be a setting in the Options if you WANT Online Checking or not. So it´s up to the User to decide if he wants that feature or not.

Quote from Hyperactive :
And there is really no point to upload replays that are many seconds slower than the WR so some kind of pre-check system would be nice. And the possibility to view LFSworld infos inside LFS

I don´t agree here. In another Thread there was a suggestion for something like GPLRank. And there you upload all your Hotlaps even if they are in Range of a WR or not. If you could Upload all your PBs you could later watch your improvements which would push motivation for doing better and better.

And we must remember that many LFS Racers (like me) are never able to get into range of a WR. So i.e. for me it would be a Challenge to get say to the Top 50 for a specifig Combo. So uploading a PB should be allowed for everyone.
Online Mode for Hotlapping

Hi all,

I am Hotlapping Offline in LFS very often. But I don´t upload Hotlaps to LFSWorld. Why?
Because I don´t know my PBs of all the Track / Car Combos I drive. So when I hotlap offline I never know if I have a new PB or not.

It would be a nice Feature if LFS would at least look if you have uploaded a Hotlap for the driven Combo and if you did a better time or not. It would be easy then to save the Replay by Hand and extract the Hotlap for uploading.

At least that "Online Checking" would be very nice and I think more people will be uploading Hotlaps. The next Step would be that your new HL can be uploaded semi Automatically (i.e. after a Popup or by checking something in the Options like "Automatic HL Uploading).

But the 1st suggestion (Tracking if you drive a new PB while hotlapping) would be really nice. What do you think?
Better Driving Force Pro and G25 Support

I suggested that before (I think in the RSCNet Forums long time ago).

Many of us have this nice 900 Degree Wheels. And LFS has this nice collection of Cars which have Steering Ratios from ~720 Degrees to ~180 Degrees. When I set up my DFP / G25 correctly the Ingame Wheel moves exactly like the Real one (1 Degree in Game is 1 Degree in Reality). But at some degree the Wheel in the Game stops, but my DFP / G25 not.

It could be solved by applying some constant Force to the Wheel when the maximum Lock is reached. It worked great in Richard Burns Rallye on the Playstation 2 so it could be done for LFS too.

1. No, setting the Degree of Rotation Setting in the Profiler is not a solution. Because you have to leave the Game and set the new Setting whenever you change the Car in LFS.
2. I know that you can turn your wheel beyond this artificial barrier when you apply enough force. But it felt good in RBR and I clearly knew when I reached max Lock without looking at the Steering wheel in the Game.

It would be just nice if this gets finally implemented as the # of G25 / DFP Users is rising and it would making Wheel support in LFS perfect.

There are many "best places" to watch.
If you want some Highspeed passing just before Schwedenkreuz would be good. It you want some slower Speed Bruennchen is nice and easy to access. For some awesome high Speed (depends from where they start) the Doettinger Hoehe is good (you can park at the Restaurant Green Hell).
If you want some slow speed and sick accelleration Adenauer Forst could be your place. But it´s a long walk up that steep hill from the parking log :-)

You forgot Montoya: "This f*cking Chicken broke my f*ckin´head!!"

Going that fast could be deadly too. Don´t expect that others are thinking for you. YOU are thinking for all other ahead and behind of you. Expect EVERY second that some Moron pulls over to the left lane without using his Turn Indicators. This is very common and most people even don´t look into there Mirrors.
You must be cautious as hell when you are driving faster than 140 km/h on the German Autobahn because there are too much Idiots out there.
When I travel to the Nurburgring I use the Night hours between 02:00h and 07:00h. And even there I had 2 nearly Highspeed crashes because some Idiot decided to drive in the middle of 3 lanes and pull over to the left lane just a second before I passed him. This happened 2 times on the A8 within 10 Kilometers. And there where NO other Car / Truck anywhere on that piece of Autobahn. I had luck being so fast, so both could not hit me in time

So please! Be carefull even when there is only ONE car in front of you which you want to pass. And when you are involved in a crash (no matter if you caused it or another) and you are faster than 130 km/h (that´s the suggested Speed on the Autobahn) you get serious problems with the Law.

And remember: On the Nurburgring you have the same Rules as on Public Roards when you drive on the "Mad Sunday". There is one Speed Limit (50 km/h) in Breitscheid and you may only pass another car on the left side.

RBR has a CD check. But I don´t know which System it uses. But the Developers removed the Check with the 1st Update. Just bring your RBR up to date and the CD Check is removed automatically and 100% legal

They took a VW Bus T3 Chassis and an Original T1 Body. They widened the T1 body so it fits upon the T3 Chassis (if you look close the T1 looks much wider as it was in original state). Then they took Suspension / Engine Parts of that Turbo Porsche. On the Webpage glyphon mentioned you can see many pictures of the Process. And it doesn´t even look like it´s just "glued together".
It´s amazing what they did. You can be very proud when you do something like that. My deepest respect to this people!

If it would, then it should autoblip on Downshift EVER. But it doesn´t in the other Sessions and even not in Multiplayer / Singleplayer / Hotlapping. So I think it´s a bug

Bug with Autoblip in Lessons

I play with an Analog Clutch (G25) and turned off Autoblip on Down- / Upshift. This works fine. But in the FXO / XR-GTR Overtaking Lessons it is turned on automatically. The "non-Overtaking" Lessons are OK.

I can´t vote here because I do both. It depends on the Car, Situation and which Sim I use. In RBR i.e. I LFB.
In LFS it mainly depends on the Car. In the Single Seaters I only use the Clutch on the Start. Then my Left Foot is on the Brake. In the Cars with H-Shift I mainly use RFB, but there are some Situations where LFB is good to stabilize the car. And in RallyX it looks like dancing on the Pedals. It´s so much fun to mix LFB and RFB, shifting in between etc. The FZ5 on BL RallyX rocks

I have the G25 used just for a few days now but slowly I get used to it. Before I only used the Left Foot for braking. But now I mix it depending on what I mentioned above.

Quote from tpa :I ordered on Oct. 30th at the same shop I think. Notebooksbilliger? Didn't get a mail yet, though

Nope, I got mine from ble-computer.de. It arrived today even when the Status of the DHL Tracking number was that my package is somewhere else in Germany (since last night 02:00h). But when I got home from work it was here!
I drive so bad now, it´s a shame. Tried LFS and GPL with Clutch and Shifter and whatever i do with my feet, it´s not what I want to do

But I tried it in RBR too (used the Shifter in sequential Mode) and drove a new Stage Record right out of the Box. The Wheel feels much better than the DFP. But I will have adapt to the Pedals because I was pressing them very gently on the DFP. But now I really have to push them down with power. I must get rid of the thoughts that I brake something LOL

I hope you get your´s soon and the wait is over!

My wheel is on it´s way. I can´t say how happy I am. When I get home tomorrow it should be there (I hope so).
Yesterday the Online Site of my Shop said 15th of December... and a few Minutes ago I found a E-Mail in my Inbox with a Tracking Number :woohoo:

I really hope that I have better luck with it than with my DFP (where I had to exchange it twice because of the Pedals). Ordered it in September and now it comes true... yeah :-)

I drove the 3.2l Version with Manual Transmission a few Weeks ago when the 1st TTs where delivered to our Dealer. I got an invitation to test drive the Car around a nice countryroad here with many hills, some good roads and some bumpy roads.
I don´t know how that Megane drives, but I can compare it to the old TT. I for myself drive a S6 Plus and I would never change it for a TT, but that´s another subject

I was just curious how the new one drives because my Dad owns the Old TT 1,8T and when the old one came with the 3.2l and Double Clutch System we tested it too. I drive a S6 Plus, but drove enough with the TT of my father to compare these 2 cars I think.

I never liked the old TT Shape from the Outside. The new one is much nicer and as another Forum Member mentioned you now can say which is the Front and which is the Back :-)

The Inside of the new one is really nice. But the old one feeled more "expensive" in the Details. There is less (or no) alloy (Aluminium??) in the Cockpit as it was in the old one. It´s just plain silver plastic which looks like alloy but it isn´t. That´s sad, because "touching" the interiour of the old TT was always nice because of that "real Metal" which was used.

On the Driving side compared to the old one the new one is really great. All is feeling more direct. You have less Body Roll and the Steering felt more exact. The Manual Transmission feels very good (as in all Audis I had so far), shifts very exactly and the Shifter is very close to the Steeringwheel. This is a very nice Idea (Audi is not the 1st with this Idea, the Carrera GT has it and maybe others too) and feels much better than in the Old TT and even in my Plus which is a whole different type of Car.

The Sound in the Inside was much better in the 3.2l old Version of the TT. But when you open the Window it´s a Blast. If you opened the Window on the old 3.2l TT the "Magic of the V6" was completely gone. The Sound designer seemed to decide that you should have only a nice Sound when the Window is closed. Not in the New one. Open Windows are really fun! And believe me: It´s so much fun that your gas consumption will rise.
But beware! If you drive around 100-110km/h with ONE open Window you feel like your Ears are used as Drums. The Air Pumps so hard that you feel like sitting in a Subwoofer. This is completely gone if you open the 2nd Window just a tad so there is a pressure equalization. Unbelievable that they did nothing against it when designing the Car. This speed is the common Speed on German Countryroads.

Another thing that was annoying is the new Rear Spoiler. It goes out at (I think) around 100km/h. Under 80km/h or so it is lowered again. And whenever it is lowered you hear that BUMP. That get´s really annoying when you drive Countryroads where you can do around 100km/h and then there is another little village... BUMP! You leave that Village, listen to that screaming V6, drive around those awesome corners and there it is... the next Village... BUMP!

The next thing I wondered was that the Hazard Lights lightnened up when I used the Brakes. OK, I was using them very hard some time, but ever just before ABS enganged. And whenever you brake hard the Hazard Lights went on. After the 2nd village where people looked a bit odd at me I tried to switch that of. I found that Switch with the ESP Button. Press it once and the Hazard Lights still go on. Press it for around 5 Seconds, the Hazard Lights go NEVER on. But then you don´t have ESP and ABS. So that´s not really a solution for a daily driver. But on the other hand if it´s your car and you are a daily Driver you won´t test the Brakes that massively. So there shouldn´t be Hazard light in normal Usage

The next one is the Magnetic Ride. In the TT the difference between the Normal and the Sport Mode can be felt, but are not as extreme as in the actual Carrera 911S. The 911S in normal Mode feels really comfortable and when you press the Button it get´s VERY firm. In the TT the normal Mode is firm (more than the 911S in Standard) and when you press the Button it changes not much (but it can be felt). So I wished I could have tested a TT without Magnetic ride to see how it handled and if the Price for that System is OK. Besides that it impressed me every time (in the TT and 911) how fast the Dampers change their behaviour when you press that Button. It happens just instantly. I not even takes a second from one Setting to the other. That´s really impressive!

All in all the new TT in my Eyes is really better in nearly all Aspects. Better especially on the Drivers side. On the Interiour side not really, because of the used Materials.
If you have the Old one and get the new one I think you will have much fun

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but I am not a native Speaker and the Text would have been much better in Germany (I could express more Emotions / Feelings) but then I wouldn´t be readable by everyone here ;-)

Quote from tpa :*hmpf* The onlineshop where I orderer just changed the availability of the G25 from 6-10 Days to 10+ Days

Don't worry. Mine (BLE Computer) said, when I ordered it in September (I guess) something with October. Then it changed to 2nd November. When I looked on the Website at 2nd November it said 15th December. I phoned them and asked if they are serious with 15th December. The guy said that mine should be shipped on 10th November and that the people who order now get it at 15th December. I hope this is true... otherwise my G25 could be a Christmas Gift.

Maybe I should have brought the money to my Bank... until the Wheel arrives in year 2175 I could be rich.
