Mine guitar maker had only one belief - the mass
So he used bubinga for the neck, and body is oak/maple with mahogany splits.

This is custom made (my own design) 5-string fretless - it was stringed years ago so I dont remember what type of strings there is. It has very thick wood with very deep sound although bit stiff - it wont give soft electric upright sound but is great as ... fretless electric bass
