you need to have permission, from Developers. there could be issues with copyrights or other rights if you set out on your own without it.
however. im sure developers would like to have LFS more known. so perhaps simply just ask.
but think about car brands. LFS brand. and i assume theres more to it aswell.
so needs to be thought through if you do !
perhaps make a twitter instead?
i dont think LFS devs is on twitter?
could post about news or such there.
LFS do have a Google+ profile aswell.https://plus.google.com/+liveforspeed
and devs are on facebook actually too.
so honestly i dont see a need for another facebook page/group that just will disapear in the wastness of FB.
now i checked it out and i see you already made your first mistake by using your own username. if its official. your name would never be mentioned(because it indicates that you are a owner). (attached picture from your page) otherwise looking good though
Shirtkicker is right though ! perhaps change the name to LFS.online.fanpage?
not really a thing. however it is. depending on where you go there. with 740 million users, surely something could interest you too Dave.
but i do agree with you that FB simply sucks. horrible loadtimes and alot of goofy pop up crap really.. all just to waste your time really.. facebook is also actually the worst place to promote anything. agree with you on this one i tried to delete my fb account 5 times . let me know if they actually DELETE yours dave. coz i think you will be able to find it again after 30 days !
facebook policy : we keep your data for as long as WE see fit (that goes for your creditcard aswell)
for the records. facebook is one of the worlds leading datastealing networks. they even do so outside of facebook tracking your every move on the internet. they also own linkedin, whatsapp, and snapchat.
you aint safe from tracking on any of these networks !
And who put in your mind that advertisement actually works?
This website (and forum) got beefed up after I made some critical comments since the last kart UK meet. Not much more can be done. Other then joining Steam, but if you've read that topic then you know whats needed for that.
By the why.. Advertisement can actually backfire. Did you thought of that? If the major public starts to bad mouth your product then you die.
The best advertisement is patches. More specific; timed updates. People on the internet work like a clock, if they know something is coming, they return. But only when the schedule is known. Not this vague release of work every now and then. (Mostly then).
