Probrably quite easy to guess what Car this is, but this car wasn't being raced in the early 70's, I want to know what rough time period this car was raced in and not just the type (NOT the early 70's! ).

It's a Porsche 917, it has been raced in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and in 1981.
