New mobile phone time - WHICH ONE?
So my contract is coming up at the end of this month (or next one can't ever remember) and looking into getting a new phone.

I use BBM alot, or rather would prefer to not lose contact with the few friends who have BBM, so looking to stick with Blackberry but I'm still a little privvy to the iGay4. I also checked out a HTC Sensation today but battery life is reportedly very poor so not too interested.

I've been mainly looking at the Torch 9800 or a Bold 9780. These seem to be Blackberry's "latest" offerings and while there's no major super duper features, I'm familiar with the general OS (I have a Curve 8900 at the moment) and happy with the way it allows me to use MSN and AIM where I go, along with emails and what not in a way that I actually like unlike the crappier messaging interface on the iPhone. Also I am struggling to find any difference at all between the Bold 9780 and the Torch 9800 aside from Touch screen on the Torch...is that it? While the CPU's are the same are there any differences in performance in the real wordl?

So basically...anyone with the Blackberry Torch or Bold 9780 who can share stories, good or bad?

Equally as interested in anyone's opinion who has HAD a blackberry and now has an iGay4 or a HTC or something.

thanks

What the actual ****. Lose contact with people using BBM? What the hell happened to using a phone to text people? Are u somehow gonna lose contact with them because thier blackberrys no longer have a texting application? get an iGay4.
I just like having an IM client rather than text. It's easier to keep in contact using IM than texts, less awkward.

Oh yeah. I forgot how awkward texting was

Unless you use a BlackBerry properly (i.e. email, rather than just using it for BBM), my iPhone wipes the floor with it.
HTC + Android = Win.
Plus new iOS this fall will fix the Notifications system, and add BBM like features for iOS to iOS messaging.
not sure if you can get a droid 2 where you are, but i recommend that.

open source, and everything (completely) is allowed and legal.

or the droid x/incredible, ect.
I never understand why people want touch screen, fancy apps and all that, for me a phone is about sending SMS and calling, some strange occasions I want to check an email too. But I guess it's as taste huh?

Well, I got 3 recommandations for 3 various users.

For the worker, who needs a solid phone who can withstand almost everything - Nokia 3720 Classic.

For the avarage Joe that wants an good music phone which can use some internett / mail, and all the normal functions - Sony Ericsson W995

For the ones that needs apps, fancy stuffs over the internett and all the other standards, HTC Desire.

As working on custommer support for phones for a year those phones were the most liked ones

While I agree, I prefer Samsung + Android nowadays, espedcially since my Nexus S uses vanilla Android without some stupid manufacturere GUI. So Android updates get pushed instantly rather than having to wait months for the custom manufacturer versions to update.
Samsung Galaxy II, or any HTC is fine.

Avoid Apple and Blackberry.
If like me your paying £40 a month on a contract then ,i want a flashy touch screen phone,

I was looking at the Blackberry ones, but then they sent me a sony erricson experia ARC, all i can say is i wont be sending it back,

I can receive emails go on msn facebook, twitter (if i had one) and there are loads of free apps, and the screen quality and size are perfect for me 10/10

Thanks

Apple whore saying iOS is the best mobile OS out there. herp derp

Also, on what do you base your statement?
Never had any problems with my iPhone 4, and i keep in some contacts with WhatsApp and Viber, from all over the world for free.. so it's difinatly worth it on the long run.. just don't drop it in the toilet.

Well, considering the biggest complaint was the shitty notification system.. and surprise.. now it has been fixed (running iOS5 on my iPhone).

Yeah. Best Mobile OS.

the only thing I hate about samsung is it doesn't has its own styling, look too much like apple products.
If you get one with a touchscreen, no matter what brand, you're going to look like a fag.

I have an iphone4 and it does everything very well, can't complain. I've been thinking about going back to a "normal" phone tho... that whole touchscreen thing is like an epidemic... look at all those people at bus stops, waiting lines at airports, etc. Standing there like zombies with their phones making love to their fancy touchscreens looking like total fags... i want to punch them in their faces...

That only goes for iProducts.
