Super Pi Mod
So lets see how fast you guys can calculate Pi to the 1M digit.

Heres what you do.

1. Go to http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/
2. Download Super Pi Mod
3. Extract it to a folder
4. Open the program and click on calculate.
5. Select 1M, let it calculate. Don't do anything while it is working.
6. Post results here.

24.063s.... I need a new heatsink for my processor so that I can go to 2.8GHz. I should have gotten an E2140 processor instead of a E2180.
Bumped my memory speed up to 945mhz.

36.859 second 256k calculation done on my Celeron, with speedfan and CPU-Z opened.
03m 30.473s (firefox was open in background with a few tabs)
Almost have all the money to put together a new pc =D

16 seconds, no proof i'm afraid.

If you want some proof then i'll end going and installing an nLite'd copy of XP and seeing if i can go for 3.2 GHz+ unstably.

whats this all about? iv read about Pi stuff all the time but never got what its about? I know Pi is math but wtf are you guys doing?

Using your computer to calculate the first million digits of Pi, and seeing how long it takes.

@ GloryJ - Not a fair comparison, different versions of SuperPi work at different speeds, so they aren't comparable.
It's about calculation PI to 1 million decimal Digits, manly to see how fast a computer system is.

Don't cheat. It has to be stable.

Oh stable ftl.

I got 16.375 at 3 GHz with DDR1075 and an nLite'd copy of XP, haven't overclocked on this new board yet.
Well I can boot at 3.6+ ghz and pull like 12s.. but thats all I can do. Open up anything like a game and bsod.
1 min exactly for me, i'm not the best with pc specs but I guess 1 min is pretty hopeless?
22.291 on a stock E6750
Bog Standard, no 'enhancements'(overclocking!)

But I was running uTorrent in the background!

What kinda PC you got?

I did mine on 3.06 GHz 512 RAM(448 with integrated grafix card)
20.500 seconds, not bad for a £40 CPU! E2140@3100Mhz + 2GB OCZ 3-3-4-10 700mhz.
