Quote from Dvious :Seeing your in aus, not sure where, im from s.a and for just over $300 at msy you can get 22" WS Monitors, i have one viewsonic and i can picture one at the front of your dash, go take a look and maybe you could get something like that to complete your setup. its HD too..

Thats a nice setup anyway, i wouldnt mind doing that in the future! Looks great.

Dont mind me asking, did it cost you much not inc the wheel?

Try a scrapyard, some may need a good clean but they will be cheap. If you can't afford much make your own base shape out of wood then, to get the final finish shape, get some fiber glass and layer it on more in some places to make curves and so on, don't forget to have protection wear when working with fiber glass, it can give off some horrible chemicals, or whatever there called, can't remember the correct name now.

The fiber glass is just an idea as you can then create a unique dashboard and wouldn't cost as much as a real dash would.
yep, try wreckers, or tradingpost or ebay, dont bother with brand new, you could buy a car for the prices they charge
Quote from rainspecialist :wow that is nice i can see you put alot of effort into this but if i was you i wouldnt glue everything cause it wouldnt be able to be serviced
ex: god forbid your g25 broke and you were going to send it back for a new one how would you do that? my point. other than that its great! good job

I hacked the gearstick up, opened the pedals and took off the clamps in the steering box, so i doubt ill be getting a warranty claim lol.

Only the timber is getting glued, the g25 is still going to be completely removeable..i purposely designed it that way so i could easily buy another one and replace whatever broke
Thankyou for your help
one thing u could make is to put some pc-fans into the cooling system so u can make a "airconditioner" in your car. make's it more realistic D:

Quote from kaulgt. :Jamesisinthehouse12, you live in Perth... Isn't there a crapload of imports/importers there? Check if the importers are bringing in parts. Does anyone know if a half-cut has the dash? I know they have the gearbox, engine and the loom/ecu.

if there is heaps... I have no idea where to look... currently trying wreckers
could you post the dimensions of the "box" where the cockpit sits ? evil ideas here... need to know the size of it all together... i mean... the space it'll demand to play in a comfort position...

Where Is The Cock Pit I Wanna C It
Lol
dont sweat guys, i havent given up on this thing, ive lost a serious amount of motivation to complete this. I want to make sure everything is comfortable, as i still need to move steering higher up and pedals a little further back, so instead of slapping it together now as it is, i'd rather work on it when i feel like it so its done right.
I look at it everyday when i get out of my car so it never loses my attention....I havent played lfs for 3 months so its starting to give me the motivation ever so slightly

Updates will be done as soon as something is updated....and going by the views this threads had im pretty sure a few of you are keen to see the finished result (as am I)
IN-Credible!!!

Very nice job and imagination, mate.

The best cockpit !!

Quote from Rota8u :how did u get ur pedals like that??

He took the pedals out of the G25 case and stuck them on to the back of some board
