Why? does everyone have to like same tracks as you? There are different people who racing on different tracks, you don't like them, then don't drive on them.

I hear they also enjoy midgets, but that's more than I ever needed to know...

:hide:
Only thing i don't want to see is that S3 becomes more like GTR2 or rFactor. For some reason i find those games more static and i don't feel the car (and can't race it for the same reason).

I don't know why LFS is different but i'm sure the devs do.

Stunts (any more than now)

http://www.ibiblio.org/GameBytes/issue20/misc/stunts1.gif
Stunts could be fun as long as it does not become core focus. Some jumps and loopings as a variation to racing. It would be a good test for physics (like trying to drive a BF1 upside down in a tunnel )
That's getting slightly off topic, but my day was going well before receiving excessive information regarding donkeys, midgets and mods. Disturbing images (not necessarily in the above order) float around my head when I should be working like a madman to increase my boss profit.

Note to myself: stop browsing improvements suggestions at work. Or do it later in the day?

Things I don't want to see. Not things that won't be in LFS, or things that shouldn't be in LFS, but things I (ME) don't want to see.

Read the entire post, especially the I bit, and it all makes sense.
Strange how you managed to understand the part about oppinions to people now, didn`t seem that you understod it earlier..

Edit : no hard feelings, just wanted to points out that you usually seems not to get the personal taste and oppinion stuff.
I think lfs should no longer have the f12 information on other drivers so that Tristan won't know that you're using chase cam.

because he is watching.....
+1 for keeping graphics the way they r
Definetly -1111111111111

I love how the graphics look, don't get me wrong. They look very very nice with AA and AF. But still we could have loads of candy. I won't go into a DX ver. argument because i have no clue about it, just don't make it DX10. I don't want to run Vista. But bliding sunlight for example would be nice. Working headlights will be needed too for night mode (comes in S3). And so on.

LFS IS HD, just get an HD screen...
Heh, I've been running LFS at beyond HD for years. Get with the PC times. Monitors > TVs.
Is it? Sorry for my noobishness lol

Do I need to get a 52 Inch tv screen with HD stickers all over it lol
Look up HD resolutions.

Then look up the resolution of your monitor - it will be far higher (probably).

All a 52" screen does is stretch everything, and can make even HD look grainy - bigger isn't always better!
Agreed, get a big reducing glass and mount it over your monitor. No need for FSAA when pixels are too small to distinguish.
My screen res is 1280 x 800 (its only a 15.4 laptop screen)

And I was joking about 52 Inch screen... of course I dont want one that big!

Btw... seeing as you two are pc experts.... is it possible to have any sound file as my horn? So I could have the beatles playing on the start grid? (I wouldn't do that cos it would really annoy everyone else!)

Yes, check around the miscellaneous add-ons forum for more details.

No, you wouldn't annoy anyone else (well, like you think), as they would only hear the horn sound you replaced. Blaring for minutes while you listen to the whole track (there may be a sample length limit mind). So probably more annoying than you think.
GT4 looks so pixilated on a 40 inch TV its hard to look at from 9 feet away. can't imagine how LFS would look any better on there.
OFF TOPIC: but isnt it true that at this time its imposible to run flight sim x maxed on any rig?

It's more than possible, it's just the FPS that you get that's the problem.

I know a couple of people with OC'ed Quad's (ie 3.6+ range) and SLi'd GTX's who are maxxing it, however most people with PC's that fast tend to have giant monitors that means their system is under much more strain that the average person.

@ Zoomy - No idea how GT4 works resolution wise, but LFS will look as good as the TV lets it as it will run at the right resolution. "HD" is a term bandied around by a lot of people that don't understand what it is, and doesn't really apply to LFS at all.

To ask that LFS get no heavier on a PC is stupid imo, it's a DX8 game that i can play using a PC with a CPU under 2 GHz and integrated GFX - you CAN'T expect a game to run on a PC from the ark, and you can't expect the devs not to develop something to stop them alienating a few customers. In sim-racing, a niche, you can't afford to require DX10 and multi-cores, but you shouldn't need to really support anything lower than a Skt A 2200 and a 9600.
I have replaced my horn 5 with a siren... so can others hear that or not? Is it only if they have replaced their horn 5 with a siren?
They can only hear it if they have the same file

DK
Although I would consider constant hooting, whether siren or not, to be a bannable offence (after a few minutes anyway).
Isn't there a way to disable the horns?

DK
yeah, change the horn audio files to blank audio files
