The online racing simulator
Very nice indeed, thanks Victor! And very nice icons there Tweak, you rock!
Coolioz...

So I kind of thought the 'led' on the little image should be more noticeable, so that when someone is in fact online or whatever, it would stand out. So this is a bit of a different style, and I like it more to be honest:

EDIT: Also, Victor I was thinking you should provide the code for various forums so that the image can actually be linked (clickable) somewhere. Like this:

For vB and IPB (and other forums):

For phpBB and other forums (no quotes for URL):

I like that last set more too, Tweaker - nice work.

Btw, thanks for the new feature, Victor.
Tweak's gone status mad!

Nice work guys
That's nice tweak, maybe it would look better if you gave the LFS icon the same background as the button? The button has a dark background anyway so it could look good.
Coooool, even I got it to work on our forum
Thanks Victor, nice little thing

Nice stuff!

Is it possible to implement that it shows the server the user is on when hovering the mouse over the status icon?

If someone could make a Joomla! module out of this, I would be very happy! Would be great to have for listing your team mates status on the webpage.
Very nice Victor! Is it possible we can add this graphic to our signature? I'm not happy with this big signature on fora but I think this thingie will look nice.

Why can't we have a url as avatar by the way? it would open the door for a random avatar for me

You can do that if you combine it with pubstats.

Well, it would make sense to use it in other forums to draw attention to LFS - but in the LFS forums it's sort of pointless since if you're online it's already displayed and clickable in the sidepanel on the left.

This script can only return an image. I know what you meant though, but that's techincally impossible without specialised code being used on 'the other end', so this is not really practical.
If you would like this functionality on your own website, where you have all the freedom to code stuff, you could, like xaotik said, make use of the Pubstats.

Yes you can add this image to your signature, provided the forum admins in question allow using images in signatures.

Using an url for your avatar is just not the way vB works. It stores your avatar on this server.
The advantage is that you do not need to have any hosting space of yourself. The downside I suppose is that you cannot change the avatar remotely, but would have to upload a new one when you want it changed.

I put together some userbars to get us rolling. Pretty sure someone could turn out something a bit more cool tho. Orionnnn!?

nice, although I think it's a little too much reflection (aka Vista style) on your bars... it makes the top part unusable for text.

you are right; but I love making a random avarat like I use on another forum showing a random girl I thought this was just an option in this forum software to let people use a href avatar.

They're pretty, but IMHO, they're too large.

I've updated LFS France forum (IPB 1.3) to show the status in the author section, so the pic must be 150px large max to fit into the div.

Victor, I think there's a bug in the script :
I've stared a dedi server
Connect to the server : status spectating
Join the race : still spactating
On the track : still sectating.
Shift-S : status in the pits
Click on OK button : racing online.
ending race : still "racing online" ?

tryed 2 times, same behaviour
ok hmm yes, and I noticed some other bugs too, but i have to get scawen in on this one, as LFS seems to omit some stat packets here and there.

Those look awesome!

Thanks for another great feature, Victor. Is it possible that we select from a number of styles/sizes, maybe?

I agree.. toned down (attached). I included the PSD for anyone else to have a go, too.

They're userbars, at userbar dimensions I'd make them smaller, but I can't squeeze 350x19 pixels into an image any smaller than that

Ok, but in this case, we'll need another script or subclass like isonline.statusbar.USERNAME
Sweet!!!

Nice feature, thanks Vic! I've added it to the live-for-speed.de forum.

yep - can be done.
But I'm just letting this topic rest a little before implementing another class / version - maybe there will be some more suggestions or whatever. Just mean to say, I will do it, but not straight away
Niice
Hi, well it did put it on my own forum signature and it works really good

Thanks Victor!
How would I make this image a link to the website? The board in question uses vBulletin. Thanks.

I posted that on the previous page:

Victor, you should edit that into the first post.
