Your video cards are weak. You are using a server CPU and mobo, neither of which are designed to game.

Also, I really hope you have a commercial license for LFS, as you can't just use your personal license to make money off renting it out for profit.

Seriously, given the 'current, but for how much longer?' physics that LFS offers, where are the modded tracks, etc that the game needs to survive ???

LFS managed to limp by cus of VR, physics, etc but it's stupid to rely on this even 6 months out from now.

This is pretty much off topic talk so I hope that you realize quickly that you make a silly statement.

I notice right away that the DX11 side has way better frame rate in the cockpit view. The DX11 side never really uses GPU #2, it uses slightly more video ram also. The DX11 side appears so much smoother than the DX9 side also. The whole images stays more focused on DX11, where the DX9 side at the very end of the video you can see a very noticable blur at the bottom of the screen when the grass is in view, but the DX11 side stays clear.

If you can't see the differences between DX9 and DX11 then you either need a better monitor, glasses/contacts/laser eye surgery, or you just don't have an attention to detail like others.

There is a clear difference in the 2 sides of the video that YOU linked so yeah. DX11 > DX9

So let me get this straight, LFS is sticking with DX 9, still supporting Windows XP, and still waiting on physics. But, it does support, VR, because those who cannot afford to upgrade from XP or buy a decent GPU can surely afford to buy an accessory that costs well over 500 in most currencies.

While I agree that a good amount of time was put into correcting performance issues, I still find it kind of odd that when you put a concentration of layout objects (50+) in direct view, fps drops significantly (150+ FPS drop). Hardware is not the issue either as I am running a FX 8320, 8GB RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 970.

Most computers today do not have the power of running VR at it's fullest capacities.

What can be done to increase performance when having a lot of object in line of sight. I noticed when there are lots of objects on screen the performance drops significantly still. We are talking a 150 frame drop.

just checked on server. some people can see it and some people can't.must be working....

hi, im pretty new to lfs, ive been spending my time on ltc server 4 and want to change my skin. ive uploaded the file to lfsworld.net and all is successful. i can view my skin myself but a friend of mine i cruise around with cant see it. it is the same for him too. he uploads but i cant see it. could anyone shed any light on this plz???????
