I did find this thread further down:

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=68963

It pretty much asks the same question I'm asking only this guy's able to use better words to describe it than I have .

Anyhow now I've figured it out on the CMX viewer the logo I'm doing looks perfectly aligned from some angles but from other angles it doesn't quite look right, I'm guessing this is where this stretching thingy comes in, I'll post a couple of pics later this evening in Aussie time showing how I'm going.

I did find that 3D skinning section too, only problem with that is there aern't any 3D Skinning templates for the MRT
Noob Skinning Question

Hey guys,

I have a question for the master minds of skinner's on LFS.

I'm about to create a skin for the MRT, and was rather inspired by this simple skin I found in the finished MRT Skin's thread:

http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1116/cmx00000069.jpg

My question is, though I have the feeling it's an obvious one, but not sure how best to ask, but how has this guy managed to get the mountain dew logo onto both the top layer of the skin and seemingly merged it perfectly with both side Layers?

I'm assuming most people are familiar with Master Skin's skinning templates, I'm not exactly sure if anyone's gonna understand what I'm on about.... hopefully someone does....

Thanks

Another good Aussie Server is Monday Night Racing, those boys meet up every Monday Night, with Qualifying/Racing starting at 9pm, the Endurance FOX race that just went was great, Qualifying started at 9pm, with Racing underway by 9:30, the Race finished at 10:30pm, meaning that if your a tradie that starts at 8am, your still going to bed at a reasonable time for work if you work the following morning.

EDIT: Forgot to add that you need to join the forums, register with them, express your interest with whatever series they have going, and then on the morning of racing, they'll send you an email telling you the server password for that night, along with other details, etc etc etc.

I was wondering dumb founded with that question until I joined the forums, after that all my problems where solved!

Anyway, join the forums, look for the Foxy Boxing forums, and enter your interest in the next round of FOX racing at Blackwood, on the day of the race, you will receive an email notifying you of the password for the night, along with other details for the race.

You simply just do all your editing in .PSD and then after your happy/want to check the skin then you just save it in .JPEG and go from then.

Also, when downloading pro kits, be sure to read the readme files, as there is always bound to be some useful info in them for when editing

Quote from funcut :I'm new in this game so i want to know how can i reduce oversteer? when i brake before curve my car oveersteer a lot and even if there is no curve. what can i do? i really want to play this game but this problem is very irritating.
i have s 2 version and i play with keyboard.

What car is it?

You can also try looking here for starting setups: http://www.setupgrid.net

I alway's go there if I'm stuck, and then make minor adjustments accordingly.

But to answer your question, as already said, move the brake balance over to the front, and maybe even turn down the amount of Newton meter force that is used when the brakes are applied

Just download it illegally like every other tight arse in the universe! hehe.

But on a serious and non illegal note, the way I see it, is if we can all afford to pay for LFS S2 then we can all affordphotoshop

Well, here's my first ever skin creation, well, 2nd, I've made my own FBM skin but it came out pink...

Anyway, here are some screenshots taken from a replay when I was racing in the cargame.nl S2 Server a couple of hr's ago:

A few pointers with this skin:

Here in Australia, we don't have any form of Caterham racing here, so I thought I would be the first to come up with a few safety stickers that we have!

The first safety sticker that is a must have for all competition racing car's here in Australia is an exterior kill switch, which can be seen on the driver's side of the car, the Kill switch itself is just a painted Red T. From what I have seen from previous skin's and many posts is that if you create things like safety pins, kill switches, etc etc so that they are all genuine looking is that only you, the racer will see them, and on every car, but not everyone else who is playing multiplayer, so I thought I'd just paint the switch on there instead.... I did a bit of googleing for other british caterham racers to see where they had mounted their kill switches, and the best ones appeared to be on the drivers hand side of the car, so that's where I put it.

The Second Safety Sticker is not mandatory on every racing catagory here in Australia, but is usually mandatory for any club racer's who go for a spin around a track in registered vehicles, the Battery Location Decal. Again, we don't have any caterham racing here, so I'm just setting the safety bench mark for all Australian racer's pretty much . I did some googleing on this one too to see if any of the car's had a special battery position, but it appears to me that as long as it's there and secured somewhere under the bonnet, then it really dosn't matter where it's placed. The Battery Location Decal is a plain blue triangle, which can be seen on the left hand side of the car.

A 3rd Safety Sticker, which isn't on the car, but is a must have for all competition racing car's here in Australia is a Tow Location Sticker. Once again, I did some googleing for any smashed up Caterham's to see how they where pulled onto a tow truck, and it appear's they just yank them by the roll cage, I'm not sure how they go about pulling them via the front of the car, I'm guessing that there must be some part at the front of the car that's strong enough to hook a rope around it and tow it out of it's misery.

I've got all my work still saved in Photoshop in case I have a slight change of heart about something, or if any of you guy's have any bright idea's of any slight improvements, screenshot tips, rendering, etc etc etc.

Thanks for looking!

Well, here's my car for those Aussie Ford nutters out there, along with my weekend driving style. The Go Kart picture was taken earlier in the year in February, I've gotta get myself a new pic, because I now have a new racing suit too!

Quote from MadCatX :Can't you just download LFS again and copy the .dds files from there? Uploading all the original .dds's will take quite some time anyway...

+1, it's much quicker to download than it is to upload, especially seeing as it's uploading onto a forum, because there are plenty of .dds files that would need be uploaded.

hmmm.... everytime I go to race LFS seems to lock up... :/

Hey everyone,

I've never had this problem, and Its only just started happening today, I haven't really fully tested to see if it happens elsewhere, but here goes.

I'm pretty much seen in the Air Attack Servers in the online Multiplayer section, to be specific, the [AA] Blackwood FBM server.

Every time I get out of the garage and go down the pitlane, get passed the pits and accelerate to join the track, or just as I'm about to pull out of the garage, or within this small section of space, LFS seems to now freeze...

Never had this problem before, I've found that if I alt+tab out of LFS, then click back into LFS the game becomes un-frozen, but only for a few seconds, and then it freezes again, and I repeat the process and find that fully disrupted a race and that I'm about to get banned........

errrrrr, any suggestions anyone?

Thanks
