That really is incredible driving right there, mouse or not. I RARELY post but felt this needed some respect. Where can I get the layout?

I think forza is well done for a console game where most of the people playing (like me) will be using a game pad. It's realistic enough. LFS is a much better simulator but if you're having the kind of trouble that foilpact is having then you just havent learned how to drive in forza at all. I have no issues using weight transfer or have uncontrollable understeer. Hell, LFS can feel the same way to people who dont know what the feel of the game is.

I'm glad to hear the news. While it's nothing quantifiable, which would be silly and give people an excuse to guess (poorly) when the next patch will be release then have grounds (not really) to complain about it 'not being on time', it certainly is more info than I expected. LFS is still the best feeling sim I've ever played. I'm not a physisist or professional driver so I cannot account for the actual realism of LFS but I will just go with the fact that driving in LFS feels more like driving IRL than anything else (minus the g-forces, of course). While I certainly dont play as often as I used to I still greatly enjoy racing and drifting with other when there's good racing and drifting to be found.

Thank you, Scawen. Your work is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Someone who's been here since alpha and was losing faith...

perhaps i'm a bit late to the party but lets say you have a cake. (This cake is NOT a lie) The cake looks soooo good but mother says you have to wait but you stick your finger in the icing getting about 1.51% of the cake. Still tastes like cake in all it's sweet, sugary goodness but it's not the whole thing. see where I'm going with this?

Perhaps a meager 24GBP to have your cake and eat it too would be worth it

i pulled outta the pits today with the new patch, 1400x900, all options maxed and front view (just the wheels) I was pullin 500fps. It was crazy. Chase veiw was at 330 but then with a full grid at start was 40ish. Such a dramatic difference.

same issue here. works fine in rfactor but i go into lfs and it just doesn't recognize the separate axis. Then I go into the control panel and open up the momo screen and the dials are pegged and only changing to combined axis works. LFS problem? works in rfactor but then control panel doesn't recognize it? something's fishy

I feel i can sum up the situation in a nutshell. The Bush family and associates have ties with big oil and defense contractors. Being greedy humans, plans were developed to convince the generally zombie like mainstream american citizen into believing FOREIGN terrorists were behind it. We go to war, Haliburton makes $$$$. We go to war with oil producing countries so gas goes up. (north of $118 weak USD last i saw)

These 'terrorists' are supposedly from afganistan and yet we also think Saddam is behind it(or something to that effect) and Iran is next. If only I could win the lottery, deposit my money into a swiss account and never have to worry about the economy then I'd be great.

$114USD with mail in rebate. Not sure how that works internationally but still $144 with out that and with how weak the US dollar is right now that should make it cheaper in other countries

unlike the rest of these goons i'll be nice

I dont see drawback for LFB in LFS. Having only 2 pedals myself and not having to worry about brake heat it's only natural. I tried RFB as i do in reality but i dont have the feel for it in game.

ps-if you have a wheel and your accelerator is one pedal why in the world would you set your brakes to a button on the wheel? I mean, i know the clutch it on the wheel of f1 cars but thats a completely different story. care to elaborate on why and what game?

turn off 'scan system on start up'

Everytime you start your computer AVG is set to do a full system scan under the default settings. I found this annoying and I bet it's what is causing your problems because it can use a good bit of processing power

Keith, I just have to say that i'm amazed whenever I hear/see/read a story like this. If it's possible could we get some pictures of your control setup? Also, if it's not too personal, what reason is it that you have to control things without the use of your limbs? Accident? Born a quadraplegic?

Curious to know more,

Matt

Quote from Ian.H : This is a sad hack IMO for an unoptimised physics engine and hope that Scawen rethinks this "good feature".

ok, then optimize the physics engine real quick and this will be all better

we should get to the bottom of the auto cut-off issue and why it was implemented. Saving CPU cycles is not a good reason. If it's to save CPU cycles for people on the track but not moving they should just be sent to spec after a given amount for being afk/afm/afg25

seeing all of these other setting makes me think that people are able to edit this released version. I know very little about memory editing (except from my stint at making hybrid cars in GT2. oh the possiblilties) especially on PC but do you just paste more lines in the settings.ini file?

i've been having trouble with this lately as well. I've got a separate folder for patch v and LFS 0.5v runs just fine but tweak wont recognize it as the right version.
