Quote from rotary999 :Lately, I've been having problems which hadn't occured earlier... I had followed that guide and had succesfully installed my Xbox 360 controller and worked perfectly, even rumble! But, after a reinstalltion of the XBCD and original drivers (computer problems) my pad doesn't have rumble. Although it works perfectly, rumble can't be enabled no matter what game I play. Does anybody know what the problem may be or do they have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

[EDIT]
The message error I get says:
CreateEffect Failed (2 Axis).
Could not setup FFB device.

Bringing it up again, does anyone know what the problem might be?? I'm getting kind of upset by not being able to adjust the controller correctly...

(BTW, I'm using XBCD360 drivers, not the XBCD-for the original Xbox controller-ones, and the version is 0.2.6) H E L P...

I am just having problems with the vibration, I've already set up the smoothness. Plus, I have a DFP but I want the contoller because I sometimes feel bored to attach the wheel. So, does anyone know anything about rumble?

Quote from ignission :Hi all

I've been playing LFS for a few months now and although I've got myself an S2 licence I'm still loving XFG/Blackwood racing.

Hotlapping aside, I just wondered what "experienced" racers considered a respectable time for this combo? I see quite a few pulling 1.33's/1.34's but what's the benchmark time window for being considered a "decent but non-alien" racer amongst the regular crowd?

Those alien-hotlappers appear very often in DEMOland, where a good time is around 1:35:mid to low. (times i can't catch, no matter how much I try...)

Quote from danowat :As far as I am concerned, if your laps are fastest, you get the license, its not up to ANYONE else to come here and say you, or anyone else, are intitled to it or not.

Frankly, I am disgusted at the way some people act around here, why don't you all just keep your opinions to yourselves, unless asked, and just let me deal with this how I see fit.

As for all the bickering, FFS just stop.

+1
The guy deserves the license with these times. It is obvious he has tried enough to gett these times! What setup are u using (just couriosity)?

I managed a 1.36.xx with XFG and 1.39.xx with XRG. I keep trying though...

[UPDATE]

XRG made 1.37.xx!!! More to come!

Some tenths of the second of the XFG time. Lap 10!

Well, Machine-V8, if you go with the Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 wheel I would like you to write a review because I like that wheel very much. It is the prettiest out on the market so I hope it turns out to be a reliable wheel as well. I'll be waiting

Although I own a Driving Force Pro and I've seen many broken Thrustmaster wheels, I believe this F430 wheel is more durable than every other Thrustmaster wheel/product. Thrustmaster made a bad name because of many issues with their older wheels but people who have tested the F430 wheel say it has nothing to do with the old bad-quality wheels the company used to produce. I believe it's a good wheel for a begginer but to be honest, I wouldn't buy it because of the lack of 900 degrees of steering rotation. Compared to the DFGT, which is about the same money, I think you should go for the DFGT because, you will not need to upgrade to another wheel to get more steering rotation if you get bored of the 240 degrees of the Thrustmaster!

Proof that our devs are working hard on LFS. See: Scirocco is there, as well as the LX!

Better without the plastic piece. Which file though did you delete-change? I'd like to do it to my XFG as well!

Well, i just mentioned that shifter as another alternative. It's cheaper also, which, due to the economical crisis, I believe is more important

another good shifter is the act-labs rs shifter. Google act-labs!

I think the problem is that you haven't installed Logitech Wingman drivers. Go to Logitech's website and search for drivers at the support section

No, no, it's not virtual H-Shifter what you need. You need another program which is for FFB joystics, because Virtual H-Shifter is for non FFB joystics

|What you need is called FFShifter...

Driving Force Pro and Driving Force GT wheels (which may look the same but have differences eith their force feedback) were designed for playstation gaming, but the guys at Logitech have released PC drivers, which you can download from their site.

[OFF-TOPIC]

I don't understand why everyone has ran down the new Thrustmaster F430 wheel if you havven't tried it (I haven't as well...). You can't know if it really is that bad in terms of durabillity. SRT found it pretty good and stiff.
