Still wondering how on earth are there people who have trouble running LFS with 140+ FPS. If so, it is really time to upgrade, parts aren't expensive these days and widely available

What's the % chance Racon of things getting better? Look at the tech that other top-level sims have available and how frequently they update, compared to this. Stop being a fanboy and be realistic Big grin

You know what could really shake things up? Once the tire model is out and all these keyboard warriors who kept on defending how great the physics are, will be brought to a stage where the cars feel either like in Assetto Corsa or iRacing, will now suddenly, out of nowhere, praise HOW GOOD THIS UPDATE IS OMG...Yes, that will happen, I guarantee

Quote from Evolution_R :Can you write in one sentence what is the problem with LFS? I'm serious. Thanks. Smile

Having driven for hotlaps in this game and actually got really good years ago, I can understand the need to thrive and become better. For me, getting as close to the WR as possible was the ultimate goal and Marus was the inspiration. Now tho, having sold my main steering wheel years ago, I sort of find it hard to convince myself to get a new, proper wheel. I am intrigued to purchase one, but in some way scared that I might not enjoy the game as I used to. Other sims are an option but in reality, LFS has that sort of vibe to it that I personally cannot explain. Sure, other sims offer more and are great fun, but LFS does hold great value in terms of memories and the great time spent.

Looking at T300RS btw k

Would you really admit that having to play more or less the same game for such a long time is enjoyable, or do you have to take breaks to find it re-playable?

Quote from Evolution_R :"Be Patient, Good Things Take Time."

Yeah sounds like Rony to me, being patient for more than 10 years. It's like trying to convince your grandma that those old cups should be thrown out but she insists on keeping them because who knows maybe they will be useful one day.

Yeah my main account is banned but I'm not even concerned about that Big grin
Even though drivers like Botsi and Litmanen are pretty darn quick, those guys are really still up there, everyone else is more like ''meh'' about the entire racing scene. There is litereally NO pressure for anyone to become better and that's sad. Yes, you may say that it's just a game, but this game has seen way better days and it's a shame that it has gone into history like this.

Back in 2009 when most laughed about iRental being a true game, with barely any player base. Now look how tables have turned

New life into LFS you may ask? Uhh, hard to judge. Not to bash here but even the online racing competition scene is pretty much meh. Less than 10 drivers are actually fast, the rest are mediocre at best, but at least they race fair and square. Other then that, the overall level of skill has dropped a lot.

Everything you write DK is just time wasted as none reads nor replies to you. Just quit the dreaming part of your approach towards LFS and be real.

That looks very impressive. Though I think it starts to look like the car models are now the one's being behind in terms of appearance. Tracks will look amazing, cars will look like, well, not kinda matching up.

It is very cool to see the amount of work that has gone into your work so far, really amazing that you are dedicating your time to get those little details done. I know great achievements take a lot of time but damn I wish there were like more guys in the team so you could get stuff done way quicker. Still tho, looks very impressive and definitely up-to-date.

Quote from simon1234 :Just had a quick look at your account in 11 years you have hardy played the game anyway 1409 laps.

That doesn't make his opinion less valid.

You can keep mentioning how much you want that you keep returning to the game blablabla, but both you and EVERYONE else who keep saying that are just random sunday racers who mainly race slowboats around BL...though there's nothing more than demo servers dominating the master server.

Don't take this wrong, LFS was a huge deal years ago and it established itself as a very capable sim. But c'mon, it's almost 2020 and you guys are still living in 2009 with your ''I keep returning to LFS cuz the spectating feature is nice and ppl share setups unlike in other sims where for some reason that random pablo from Spain doesnt want to share his setup and it hurt my feelings ;(((( ''

Quote from Bose321 :I honestly doubt it. I believe iRacing and rFactor and AC right now are just way too big (mostly in the professional teams) for LFS to make a comeback with just refreshed tracks and slightly improved graphics. Sure there will be a few more people, but it simply can't compete with the huge (real) content other sims have to offer. I'd like to be proven wrong though in a few years when a new patch is out. Smile

You are more than correct on that one.

Storm, you just sound like an old person who is simply not accepting any change in the game industry. It is more important what the majority demands. Clearly, that's what the community wants more (look at iR / AC etc), those games attract people who are willing to pay because there's content and there's always something new.
You just need to burst your bubble and realize that in today's society, these sort of players (mainly iR one's) seek more than just ''hey uh we got a nice spectator mode and chat interface''...

It sums it up for you but the racing community isn't made out of 10 old, retired people, c'mon, get real here!

I think even Nilex has got over the fact that this game is just a dying breed..........3 guys who work on a game can't compete with the staff of iRacing or AC, it is just not possible. Look at the money these guys invest in iR to get the latest tech co-op with what they are putting out. It doesn't MATCH UP the level of effort that goes into here. Get off your high-horse and realize this is just as bad as any other game that had their time to shine but spoiled it in one way or another.

The industry doesn't care what you want, they just want your money. iR is where it goes and they got the supply to keep up with the demand. LFS is just a great hobby for Scawen and Eric but before it gets anywhere near iR level, we will probably be in our retirement houses.
