Hi after long break, I follow LFS almost from the beginning sa I'm rather a veteran when it comes to it. So maybe someone or even Scawen in the flesh can help me with 2 questions.

First of all does anyone know anything more about new tire model or new physics? What is going to be changed, whats the most wrong part of tire model at now, is tire heating correct and is it also sa hard in real life to be on "green" temp? In Assetto Corsa there is a lot easier to control tire temp and even when it is not green state you still have quite a lot of grip, also it does take less time to cool it down. Which is more proper?

Second question is about multithreating. I read whole topic about Scawen work but didn't find an answer. Is LFS going to use only 2 cores / 2 threads splited to graphips and physics or is it going to use more threads? As i read in other place if i'm not wrong Scawen has CPU with only 2 cores from years and doesn't want to change it at now, so probably he can't even test the code for more threads. Anyone?

Nice progress raport, I'm glad to see LFS is still alive after so many years. What about VW Scirocco, will it be relased in upcoming patche?
Funny thing, I would never belive that I can buy Scirocco in reality before it is relased in LFS. It's even quite old car now. It was one of my favorites, but I've ended up with BMW Smile

Quote from CarlLefrancois :oh and anyone saying the graphics need to be updated, make sure you updated your textures. with a community-made high res texture pack, there really isn't anything missing detail-wise from LFS compared to iracing for example.

High res textures are one thing but it would by also nice to see good shadows and lighting system and other DX9 / 10 feutures, not saying about DX11 (tesselation etc.).

I don't really get you guys. Yes, it's impressive that only 3 people (one programist) did such realistic and playable sim. But we want to play it, it's not work of art, wich we only want to look at. What's f***n diffrence for us, if LFS is made by 3 people, 100 people, or maybe half of a dog. If the team is enough big to make noticeable progress, then it's ok. But now it's quite obvious, that it isn't big enough for nowdays. So why don't they employ other people to their team, instead of writing about new haouses etc. and closing topics full of true words, with not even saying 'sorry'.

It's very funny to read conversations on this forum:

A: LFS is a nice game, but it's getting older and older and i don't see noticeable progress...
B: Shout up! Don't you understand that LFS is made by only 3 people?!?!?!?!??! Can u imagine it?!?!?!??! Go and buy it right now!!!! Only 3 people!!!! So what, that graphics isn't good enough? I repeat, only 3 people!!!!!! If u don't want to buy it then f*** of** !!!!111111

Quote from AMB :And how many work on NFS compared to LFS?

BOOM OWNED.

/thread

So? Yeah, it's hell great argument. You know what is the biggest problem? After earning cash on S1 and S2, developers of LFS should use it to employ some other developers into their team. Instead, contact with them gets worse and worse (remember S1 times?), people who even complain about very slow development of Live for Speed are treated... not very well, and so on.

Yes, Scawen & rest can always make next updated named as "Final" and stop working on project - but come on people, we all know how it "seemed" to be progessing when we bought our licences, and how it is now. And developers don't see any problem.

I'm not LFS fanatic, I have my own private life but i have to say that unfortunatly the sim doesn't seem to have a long future. They just didn't invested on it - it's quite obvius, that one programmer can't make that all things as fast, as 30 people teams can do.

Sorry for my english. Peace.

I think LX4 has just the best rear grip from all road races in LFS. LX6 is also fun and not very hard to drive, so I don't know what are you talking about.

Leprekaun write something more about your hardware - CPU, GPU etc.

Maybe that's hardware problem, expecially RAM?

It seems that even the well-known people on forum want to play such a funny game, so I'm looking forward for devs response Smile Becouse if it take just a few hours of Scawen's work then it would be really worth it. I thought that it's not very clever, but after watching video I like it a lot Smile

Does the sense of speed improve much when using glasses? Expecially in Live for Speed ;> ?

I know the diffrence between FPS and refresh rate, sorry it was unnecessary to write about FPS in that thread...
But I have next question, I've read on an official site of glasses that they can be used with LCD screen. So if I have LCD do I see ANY flickering with glasses, or everything is perfectle clear?

I don't comment them negatively, I just wrote what i read before (when using glasses with 100hz refresh rate, both eyes get only half of it). So in your opinion on my 17' CRT I would be able to use glasses on 1024 x 768 x 85hz? And say me one thing, are you sure that you see flickering when the monitor's refresh rate is set to 60hz? Becouse most of people I know can't see difrence between 60hz and 85hz... I also see difrence beetwen 40 and 60 frames per seconds in games, so maybe I'm just unnormal Sorry for my bad english

About a year ago I was really looking for that glasses, but since i read that refresh rate is devided by 2 when using them I don't think about it. I have 17' CRT and i hate having refresh rate lower then 85hz... I just can't look at 60hz screens...
