Hi to all. I'm not really new to LFS, but after a looong break of racing the demo I finally decided to buy the thing and I'm loving it big time

RBR is the only way to go, if you're looking for a sim rally game. I would not recommend the RSRBR, because it takes so much space and it really isn't worth it. Instead, you can go to the czech plugin site and play it there. Download a car you like, some new stages and enjoy online tournaments
I played dirt2 on my keyboard. For me the only positive side of the game was great graphics. I didn't like poor wheel ff, the poor car choice and everything is too "american". It's too much "showtime" with all that fireworks on every jump and finish line. I think it took away the rally spirit a bit, as there aren't real rallies to drive (stage after stage, where you sum up the times and the fastest driver wins). The graphics are great, but the content should go back to CMR2
Anyway...that's just my opinion

I only play RBR on czech plugin or rbrnet...if that's OK with you I can play on fridays and saturdays ...but I can't be the server because my connection crashes from time to time during race

Great vid
How do you make that "real-lookalike" effect?

Quote from gohfeld23 :However, if the LFS collision system was any better the accident wouldn't have killed B's car that harshly.

Still, it's A's fault.

I completely agree...plus I was looking to the steering of driver A...for some reason I think he wasn't just "straighting" his car on the exit, but it's hard to tell..

Great job Astra

P.S.: a suggestion for next episodes: slow motion - makes it easier to watch and see all the movements

No..I sort of need that for rbr, so it needs to be all me...besides, the ai doesn't park itself where you want it
I want to do something like I come to a house and park my car and then another car is delivered and I take it for a ride, but my car is still parked in front of the house...so if there's is any way (not too complicated ) to do this...

Does anybody know how could I make something like this: I come with one car to a certain point and then I come with another car and park on the side of that car that I had come there before...something like there were 2 drivers but I have to do that in single player

Thanks for the answers

Quote from Jakg :Speed does NOT kill, irresponsibility kills, stupidity kills

I agree...just today I was driving on a highway (speed limit 130km/h) and I caught a middle-aged woman in a new clio, with fog-lights turned on in the middle of a clear day . She was one of the worst drivers I've ever seen on highway - she started overtaking a caravan when she was at least 400m behind and when she finally got to him, she started braking - on the overtaking lane...I mean..how dumb can you be - overtake quickly or stay behind. Then when she finally got back to diving lane we overtook here (carefully and quickly )...5min after she flew pass us over 150 km/h...
5km later she was driving 120 in the middle of the road - on both lanes, causing traffic behind...
Interesting about these people is that when you pass them you look at them and see how "unrelaxed" they drive. Wheel below her chin, looking forward and nowhere else...

I would never say I'm a great driver, since I don't have much experience, but from time to time I go faster when I know I don't endanger the others

for those who lost their lives on the road I have to say I'm sorry, because IMO in 90% it isn't their fault...

Quote from JTbo :You don't need a track, get involved in rallying or something, I see there is rally events so there must be some practising possibilities too

If I had money, I would. Trust me on that one ..anyway it was just once..usually I drive around 140-150 if there's no traffic on highway...to raise my heart beat, for now, I use RBR, LFS and GTR games

Quote from yozzer : extracting the urine? 1.2 rofl 180 rofl some more...

ive had 150 kph out of my corsa and thats a 1.4
slighty beefier tyres..i prefer corners over straits..monkeys can do straits

I did it on the straight part of Slovenian highway (we have quite a lot of turns, uphills and downhills ), not a lot fuel and of course not many cars and trucks on road. And as I said: according to speedometer . And what corsa do you have? -my brother did 160 in Renault 5 (not sure if it wasn't downhill straight)
As for the turns...I don't intend to test the car, because the handling is just rubbish. Looking forward to getting a new car

PS: why speeding on public road? -we don't have any tracks

Quote from wheel4hummer :I am a terrible driver in RBR, I know that. My problem definitely is speed. I actually have noticed some improvement in my driving. I don't flip the car (As much) like I did when I first played.

Since I don't have my wheel here I went on RallySchoolStage with my keyboard. The result was 1:17.93 which would be better with my wheel. Problem you have is that you don't slide - you simply can't drive like that on loose surface. Go to rally school, practice the techniques to get the car sideways and keep it right to the end of the corner. When I get my wheel I'll upload Pirka and Falstone for you
