The AAL is pleased to announce its next series for 2008, the "AAL Oval Festival"

http://www.australasianleague. ... ces/AAL_Oval_Festival.gif
A huge thanks to KNAPPO for the amazing series logo!

This 4 round series will initially put drivers into lower powered road and open wheeler cars. We then bump it up a notch and get the high powered toys out of the garage for some fast and furious drafting action

Each round will comprise of 2 races, each of about 30 minutes duration as detailed below.

Series Schedule

Round 1:
13th Aug - XR Turbo - 2 x 36 laps

Round 2:
27th Aug - FOX - 2 x 40 laps

Round 3:
10th Sep - XRR - 2 x 47 laps

Round 4:
24th Sep - FO8 - 2 x 50 laps

Entries for the first round open on 2nd August

Special notes for this series:
1) your HLVC time will determine your grid position for Race 1 of each round. There will be no qualifying.
2) Late (non-HLVC) entries will only be accepted if there is only 1 server and they will start from rear of grid.
3) Grid order for race 2 of each round will be reverse grid of race 1 finishing order. Drivers who DNF in race 1 will start at the rear of the grid

Quote from Leprekaun :ok thanks . Sorry for the constant questions but there are just a good few things which haven't been explained in the readme or FAQ. Last thing I want to ask is about the graph program. I've downloaded it but I can't get seem to get it working. I click on the exe and nothing happens . I've found a file called tsv.tpl in the templates folder where I found in the readme that it required it but still, nothing .

Make sure you have the graph.exe, graph.mxl & NPlot.dll in the same folder as your stats files (there should be a .tsv file there as well after you create stats).
Then in that folder create a folder called "graph".
Run the graph.exe and the graphs should appear in the "graph" folder.
They should also automatically appear in the stats file once you open them with your web browser. Make sure you upload to your host/website the graph folder and the 2 files that end in lbl & rpr to the same place as the rest of your stats files to get them to appear online.

The track should show up automatically unless you haven't copied the tracks folder where your hosting your stats files.

As for getting the WR to show, that is a little more complicated, follow these steps:

- Goto this link in LFSW http://www.lfsworld.net/?win=settings&whichTab=pubstat
- About 1/2 way down this page goto "-To generate an additional Ident-Key" & click the "Generate Ident-Key" Button (only do this if you haven't already obtained an Ident-Key before)
- An Ident-Key (1): will appear in the section above, copy that key.
- Open your LFSStat.cfg file (with a text editor)
- At the bottom of the LFSStat.cfg file find the following section
PubStatIdk = Copy your Ident-Key Here
PubStatLogin =
PubStatPass =

- Save the LFSStat.cfg file and now the WR data will appear in your stats when you do them.
Note: You need to be connected to the net when you start LFSStats as it downloads all the WR's before connecting to LFS to do the stats.

Hope that makes senss.

Quote from commandermas :or just start LFS Stat and use the new Replay Control in Y20.

i made stats for a 2 Hour Race of more than 20 cars in about 25 Seconds

and that is even faster than mprstats is doing this.

Wow!! I hadn't tried that yet, so I guess you just start the replay then select the end of it on the replay bar with the cursor and let it run?
How did the top speed stats turn out as generally the faster you play the replay the less accurate the top speed data becomes?

Quote from MaKaKaZo :Will there be a LFS-Stats version in which you don't need to play the mpr replay in-game? Like you just select the mpr file and the program does all the parsing without needing LFS at all. A complete third party application. There's mpredit that already parses mpr files, so it *can* be done

You can also run LFSStats live while your online, saves you having to do it after using the replay.

I think the current plan will address most ppl's concerns

Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback Scawen.
I didn't vote for any of them as I would like to see 2 changes, they are sort of inter-related as per below.

1. Place the replay controls at the top of the screen (will only cover the FPS or Clock then.
2.Ensure the hud (f9-F12) & placing / splits table is always on.

Having the replay controls on-screen all the time or having them pop up only when the mouse is placed over is neither here nor there for me, especially if it is moved to the top of the screen which is generally in the sky.

Maybe another idea is having all the options you have proposed as a configurable item in the replay options, if in fact that can be done?

Sorry if these have already been suggested but I assume you want to determine interested numbers against each option & not just additional ideas.

If that is the case does anyone know what the new filenames are?

Crady,
Not sure if this would cause it but there is a missing # in the following lines of data

EnableAutoMessage = true

# Default car to show, when no car is specified..

#DefaultCar = UFR
DefaultCar = FOX
#DefaultCar = FO8

Hi Gai-Luron, this is a great idea and I truly hope you continue to develop it to match LFSSTAT as it will save a lot of time for us admins .

So I have done some testing today and have found the following:
- All files of MPRSTAT program need to be located in the LFS/data/mpr folder for MPRSTAT to work. If MPRSTAT files located anywhere else then it does not work and produces an error (can not find files).
I would like it if MPRSTAT can be located in a seperate folder anywhere?
- Have to shutdown & restart MPRSTAT each time or no stats generated. You can't just select another replay after running stats on a previous replay.
- A qual replay generated a race result MPRSTATS
- Race stats are inaccurate when compared to stats generated using LFSSTAT program.
- The start order is incorrect when generating MPRSTAT on a race replay.
- I noticed there is no pitstop, yellow or blue flag tables, is this a limitation of MPRSTAT?

As part of the LFSEA Thurday Nights we will at times be running official Supercar Series Test Sessions.
The 1st of these will be this Thursday night (10th Apr) using the combo for Round 2 of the Supercar Series.
So make sure you don't miss this opportunity to do some serious testing ahead of the scheduled race....

Test Session Details

Note: These testing sessions are only open to registered contestants or nominated substitute drivers of the 2008 LFSEA Supercar Series.

Wow your right that does sound impressive, I had this idea that it was another insim app that would require direct connection to the race server, which I seem to not be able to ever get to work. But this sounds really cool and easy to use since it works direct with the info from each persons LFS local client. Now I am excited

Oh O.K, guess I may be stuck with v2 as I can't see me using v3 "live'" all the time.

Thanks DarkTimes, sounds like v3 is going to be sweet. I assume it will still parse replay's as well, with limitations, if you want to do it that way?

Hi DarkTimes,
I am wondering if you would consider including the points each driver earned for each individual race within each of your export functions or at least within the html output. My suggestion is to have a Pts column in each race results table.
This would make it easier for admins and the drivers themselves to double check they were awarded the correct points for each race.

Also I think there is a bug in you the ubb (.txt) export function, as I get an error window that says "Invalid Export Function".
I can only get it to work if I manually add the file extension (.ubb) to the filename input box in the save export window.
It will not save it as a .txt file.
Sorry if this has been brought to your attention already.

Keep up the great work

As part of the team, I want to congratulate all the guys who contributed to our 2nd AUS V8 Supercar skin pack.
I think we have improved over last years effort considerably.

A personal thanks to both Dwayno & KNAPPO for creating many logos that make the skins I did look so crisp.
Also a huge thanks to you Vil, for co-ordinating & getting this pack all together in record time.
Just take a look at how many our resident LFSEA skinning demi-god did for this pack. Top effort m8

Yes Tweaker we have just kicked of an 11 round series to mimic the rl Supercars here in AUS.

G'day hansonator69,

The LFSEA Admin team did debate over when to race but the final decision was to run them all on Thur nights.
It was based on many factors including:

1. Keep it separated form the other main AUS LFS leagues of MNR (Mon nights) and AAL (Wed Nights).
2. Friday (along with weekends) were dismissed as ppl tend to go out or away especially around long weekends.

So for those reasons the dates of the races will remain as they were announced, even more so now that we have accepted entries and everyone entered has committed to a 10 month series knowing races are on Thur nights.

Sorry if that doesn't quite suit yourself but remember it is only 1 race per month on average.

Best of luck for the series
