Ps3 - expensive YES, maybe not that good multiplayer / meny, but still it's worth the money, because it's QUALITY!

Don't forget to mention BLU RAY POWAAAA!!!
Quote from Mackie The Staggie :Even if it's out of warrently, microsoft will pick it up and repair it for free, just need to contact them on the website. That's whats happened to mine, but due to the fact the only place that officialy repairs them is Germany, I'm waiting for 3 weeks to get it fixed.

^sensible but boring

^a much better solution
well it seems most people in vids have had the welding on the GFX card screw up but i though if the xbox was made after October/19/2005 i could not get my xbox fixed for free.
All gameconsoles suck and that's a fact.
Im gonna tell you my story:
We get (brothers and i) the ring of death, we send it to microsoft, then CoD4 stops working, missions wont play. Again the lence (the thing that reads the discs) wont work. Oh ****, the only ****ing remedy is to buy a new one, so far no problems.
And with PS3 i have low FPS with CoD4, i dont know why, but i just get them.

Or you could not trust Sam (he or his friend did not invent the X-Clamp fix) and just Do-It-Yourself.
Jakg is the shi*!

His pc owns all console wankers!

Not when it doesn't boot it wont!

Not keen on any console, although I do like my good old Xbox (original ofc) running XBMC...
I don't really like gaming on the PC. they get dated quickly, and they are alot more expensive. At least LFS can support lower requirments. LFS is the only PC game I have 'bought.' every other (racing) game I bought on the PS3.

You have a console?

Intruder....
ps3 is not much of an online gamer but it is more reliable thing than a 360.

I have an original Xbox which I picked up for £10 pre-owned this year - I bought it only intending to use XMBC, and after I softmodded it I bought a fair few games for it (Forza, PGR, PGR2, Morrowind (given to me), Splinter Cell (needed it to soft-mod) & Rainbow 6 (given to me).

Even so I still only play Forza, and even then very few times.

'tis great to be able to be in bed watching films streamed of my PC, though, esp seeing as my TV (32" CRT) was free!
Quote from The Very End :Go for PS3, the cheap price of xbox tells that is's piece of shit that is not worth a penny. I'v heared that statestics tells that 33% of the xbox delivered have goten, or will get ring of death and need replacement, belived there were rules against selling failure hardware?

No, the cheap price of the Xbox tells us M$ are still losing money on consoles sold to further their position in the console market.

PS3 has it's fair share of problems too just in case you think that because it's more expensive it's made with better technology.
agree with the people against consoles^^ PC ftw
Quote from Bose321 :agree with the people against consoles^^ PC ftw

Both ftw really.

Nothing beats being able to crash out on the sofa with some mates and some beers and play a casual game or two.

PCs very rarely lend themselves to casual gaming, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I love a good serious game as much as the next guy. Just not as easy to pick up and play.

Face it. PC is still yet one of the best. Not only for gaming but also for movies etc. (no porn)

For movies - debatable. My PC isn't near my TV (although it would be possible to connect the TV to the TV-out on my GFX card but that's not really easy or a good idea. As it is i'd love to have an HTPC with a few TB of HDD space hooked up to a 50" plasma, but my setup is good enough for what I need...
Quote from mutt107 :this ****ing sucks....... my xbox got the freaking ring of death... three red lights on the front... and i can't even get a new one.
im buying a ps3.. i hate microsoft.

haha, changing faith at the bat of an eye lid i see... thats right, come to the darkside...

True, but PS3 don't have a failure rate on 33%...

Doh! Thought this thread was about the Nürburgring when I opened it...
^ but, guess what? i have an NES!!!!!! mario FTW.
mario>lfs
Gamin console:

- Around 200-300 euro
- Plays all the games (no issues with fps, etc)
- Runs for 3-5 years easily
- Sofa-compatible

PC:

- 1'000 euro?
- If you're lucky, all games will work
- Outdated after 6 months - 1 year

I have a good PC, but rarely use it for games... not becasue i couldn't... it would run most games just fine. But there must be a reason i always end up playing games on my xbox or ps3... hmmmm!

PS: Bought my xbox360 in march 2006. About a month ago it started to die (graphic issues, probably the GFX chip or something). Bought a new one for less than 200 euro. Not such a big deal.
yeah i love the price drops, buying a 2nd ps3 later in the month.
