I just started uploading some of my hot laps to LFS World and it says I'm using throttle help on all my laps.

I looked everywhere but I can't find a setting for throttle help.

Anyone know what this is?

Its in the options under "player" (I guess thats the english word).

This is my Player screen

Other players: add new player

Number plate: CTD928
Driver position: [left]
Speed display: [mph]
Pressure display: [psi]

Brake help: [no]

Gear shift mode: shifter

Auto clutch: [no]
Throttle blip on downshift: [no]

Are you using mouse by any chance to steer? Throttle help is on "automatically" if you use keyboard buttons as brake/throttle

I just checked my own replays and I don't have it enabled although I wouldn't even know how to enable it...

I do when I'm in those cars, but it says throttle help for every replay I upload (I haven't uploaded ones for those cars)

You're using an old LFS version with throttle help. The newer versions don't have throttle help. Download the complete LFS 0.5 'W' from the main website.

Could you post screenshots from your "controls" screen?

I'm just thinking that you may have configured your wheel slightly wrong

I got an OOS error with W17, the second time it played fine though. I had no idea there was throttle help. Maybe it's some W17 thing since it's not yet official.

I suggest wiping off LfS from your HDD and install Patch W (and W17, if you like) from scratch... Chances are you had it activated in an older version and when Scawen got rid of it, there was no chance for you to turn it off... So a fresh install might get rid of it once and for all...

Deleting or temporarily moving the cfg.txt file might also do the trick.

I too have this problem, i just uploaded a hotlap & it says throttle help on. i have the same settings as little dump, with W17 patch also. none of my previouse hotlaps show this with previouse versions of LFS

I don't even understand how throttle help can work. My W17 hotlaps don't have this problem though.

I just discovered the same on patch x.
I have never to my knowledge used throttle help, nor can I remember seeing it.
I have all aids turned off.

Might have to go for a search & destroy mission in the config file....

Gah, I think I need to go to sleep... I searched the setup screens for throttle help, and read "Show pedals" and "Virtual steering" as Virtual pen..

The option/feature got removed some time back now, so you won't actually be using it. For some people it was disabled in the "on" position, for others it was "off".

It's not in the cfg.tkt file, must be in the player file somewhere. Deleting that could wipe the flag but you'd also lose some other settings (nothing you can't put back though).

Now if we just could get rid off that brake help too. Would be at least fun to see keybaorders to overtake this forum and to the same that they're doing now with the cockpit discussion

This may be a n00b question(read:is a n00b question?) But how actully did throttle help work and what did it do? i remember seeing it but never turned it on lol.
