Are LFS-racers better sim-racers?
Does LFS-racers have a chance vs. GTRx- or rFactor-racers?

The answer to this will be given in the
Multi-simulator Racing League that will start soon

We in the Swedish Racing Mates Team will give you
the answer to this eternal question.

Each sunday until Christmas, starting september 17
we will race at classic circuits like Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, Aston,
Donington and South City etc....

All nice racers are welcome to join our friendly league

There are fast simracers all over the planet, and it doesn't matter much about what game they play. But if they play a game that is pretty advanced and challenging, their skill can span across any simulation in my opinion.

Being involved with LFS for 3 years or so, I have learned to drive very fast, and when stepping in and driving rFactor, GTR2, etc... it really isn't that hard to adjust, it is just a matter of how hard you need to push to get a very fast time

I know some people that go right on rFactor and kick some butt, but people coming from other games and playing LFS, they have to adjust. It would be interesting to see how ISI sim racers cope with LFS, it is a lot different in my opinion.

I wish I could run those games, but they always crash on me. GPL used to run flawlessly, but now it is buggy . Good luck with your league anyways

I was a GPL player and when I switched to LFS I was instantly pretty fast at it...

Now I play rF and LFS and after 2 laps you are adjusted to the different feeling.

Good LFS players will be good at rF (after a little practice) and visa versa.

I think that goes for almost all racesims, if you're good at one, it won't really take you long to adept to the other.
which is the best sim racing game ? i have just beenplaying on LFS

tbh, if your any decent at GPL, playing one of the newer sims will be a godsend, considering they actually have a smidgen of grip. if you can control a sim car on ice, you can control it with grip
sounds like a cool league, but unfortuantly with it being on Sundays i cant enter goodluck anyway, nice idea

from what I've played of the ISI sims (GTR/GTL, a little of each), you have to use different techniques to feel for grip. In LFS, I think I use sound mostly, but I don't think sound is as effective in an ISI sim... at least to me.

Nice idea with your league, GL

ill enter this league, i own LFS and rfactor and have the GPL 2004 demo, which works online im assuming, dont have GTR or GTL though. and i am Not installing GTL, i would rather drink piss than install starforce on my hard drive.
You forgot RBR, then it would be like the Race of Champions (that real life event).
yes, I would like to include RBR as well....
but we haven't driven that much, and we don't know that many
people that drive it either, but probably we will include "Drivers Republic"
in the future...

Yes, I think that if you are very good in one sim you will do well
in another, but you might still end up "fighting" with a
"that-sim-specialist"

We have the same number of races in the "major" modern sims
so it will be fair in the end...

and btw, GTR2 won't have Starforce...

Kindest Regards

lmfao piss eh, its that good

i went to check out rfactor it looks good but its like half a billion Japanese Yen (¥) to get the download and then another half a million Japanese Yen (¥) to get the unlock, so ffs that

sounds interesting.
I guess it all depends on how fast you learn (to abuse) the physics engine of another game.

YES. they are. LFS racers are so absolutely fantastic even chuck norris pales in comparison.
Mind you chuck norris lapped greger huttu twice, and divebombed richard towler to extinction at t1.
Creme de la creme.

Why don't we do it on sega rally or Daytona USA to see who of us is really better

Only if the track is mirrored and reveresed :P

But back on topic not a bad idea for a league, much work involved good luck with it.
I agree with many comments made , if you can learn to play a game and become "good" at it in short space of time then the point is missed (being fast is one thing being a good racer is somthing entirely different), i think main thing is "does LFS make good sim racers better " ?

I would say yes , so far this is the only game i have played in years of gaming that just gets better and better (as skill increases) not to mention the game itself with content & community.
As I noticed,I find rFactor-races driving cleaner then most of the LFS-ers.
I have never seen a good, fair LFS racer..
