The online racing simulator
I should be more upset about paying for something I can't use, especially when it comes to lifetime content. I try to be honest when I tell you that I've tried your suggestions.
Have you tried opening your email client on your PC and copy & pasting the unlock code into LFS?
I also tried it recently, ctrl+c to copy and ctrl+v to paste, but the message is the same "unlock code does not match"

Sorry, I just feel like they don't take it seriously.
I've just done a TEST.

I have the unlocked LFS S3 game working.

I went to my profile on LFS.NET and clicked "Send new unlock code."
After launching the game, the game continues to confirm that I have an S3 license (which seems a bit misleading to me – at this stage, there might be a message about an invalid "unlock code" or something similar).
Only after clicking to display the server list does it say that the unlock password is incorrect.
I manually entered the unlock code (emphasis on "manually") and the game unlocked without a problem. So the unlock system works fine for me.

I'm wondering if the codepage might be causing the issues?

Scawen tried to help you, doesn't that mean he takes it seriously? We're just trying to figure out what the issue is. You aren't the only one having troubles with the unlock code. Please be patient.

Here is some of the best help and commitment I have ever experienced....
Thanks, guys.

I'm frustrated that it's the weekend and there are more events I can't participate in (it all started because I was working on a design).

Scawen, I don't know who you are, but thanks for trying to help me, and I hope to return the favor someday. (Same here, guys.)

I guess I'll have to wait, since it's a fairly new system.

Scawen is the programmer of LFS.
When I said "I don't know who he is," I meant his personal (I met him today), but I do know he's a programmer. I saw he worked on several projects before LFS.

And finally, my goal was never to offend anyone (I greeted them on the forum and said, "Look, I have a problem, can you help me please?").

If somehere misinterpret this, I invite you to reread previous posts.
I just tried your user name and unlock code and it confirmed the unlock fine. So don't be alarmed if you get an email.

I think I should eliminate these characters from unlock codes:

l I 0 O

It's not clear to me if you have tried to type in your new code or you copied and pasted, although apparently receiving the code on your phone.

I was focussed 100% on helping you then you said this:

Quote from J.E.R.E_254 :Let's make this easier. I'll send you my personal information so you can try it out, and I'll make sure you don't ignore me.
If nothing works, I'll file a claim on the account I paid to buy back the S3.

And that is a threat.

Personally I find threats offensive, but maybe I am just a delicate little flower.
OK, I have removed the ambiguous letters (small-L and capital-i / letter O and digit 0) from unlock codes that are generated from now on.

So if you get a new unlock code it should be more suitable for typing, if copy and paste isn't practical.
ok thx
There I completely agree with you since this is a bad translation.
(Sorry, I wasn't trying to threaten)

and continuing with your question
I copied it manually from phone to PC (didn't work)

I opened my email on PC and quickly copied it (didn't work)

Install patch (didn't work)

I tried it in the lfs editor (didn't work)

What I'm going to do now is request the code again and I'll let you know if it works or not.
I already unlocked it and it seems to work (but my day is up)

I'm going to repair my bike,

see u later and thanks
Random guess here, but if we assume you made a mistake when copying the code manually, and it also didn't work with Ctrl+C, could you maybe have selected the space before the code?

If that's the case, I would suggest the unlock code email display the code on its own line, rather than after a colon and a space (although double-clicking should select the code without the surrounding spaces).
It's no problem if you select the space. Spaces before and after are removed. If interested, you can safely test that, you don't lose any unlocks for failed or successful confirmations.
Quote :Grok how many combinations with the alphabet lower upper case and the numeric 1-10 system with twenty characters? small-L and capital-i / letter O and digit 0 are being left out.

The exact value is: 59^20 = 7,573,809,984,801,565,563,723,794,128,486,401

Is LFS a bank nowadays? 20 characters is a bit insane if you'd ask me.

asking AI means that the number is probably wrong lmao

especially asking the racist ai
Yeah, first of all, why 59? 2*26 letters + 10 digits is 62, remove O, 0, I and l and you get 58.
Then the result itself is wrong: 59^20 is 2.612 403 355 × 10^35, while the AI basically said 7.573 809 985 × 10^33 for some reason...
and 58^20 = 1.855 922 647 × 10^35

So glad big tech has decided this is the future and we got no choice in the matter.

Even sadder that people rely upon it for basic things rather than using their own brains.

Yup same here, straight forward and simple Na-na

I tried ChatGPT out of curiousity and while it seems to have the right "logic" and even knows it should be 58^20... it calculates it as 8.97x10^34 which is... not right lmao

If I had to guess for Grok's answer, it's parsing the 1-10 and including 0 in the character set because AI is really stupid and doesn't actually think
You people should document, what exactly you are doing when attempting to unlock it. Sounds like a lack of certain awareness to certain things, such as how-it-works.

After documentation, compare that to instructions. See what went wrong and adjust changes similar to instructions.

Now, other than that is different story.

EDIT: I am not intentionally making to set up this post so you look stupid/dumb, but doing documentation helps surprisingly lot. It all needs to have one very slight mistake. What I have read here, most of them are simply slight errors here or there.
