I should be more upset about paying for something I can't use, especially when it comes to lifetime content. I try to be honest when I tell you that I've tried your suggestions.
I went to my profile on LFS.NET and clicked "Send new unlock code."
After launching the game, the game continues to confirm that I have an S3 license (which seems a bit misleading to me – at this stage, there might be a message about an invalid "unlock code" or something similar).
Only after clicking to display the server list does it say that the unlock password is incorrect.
I manually entered the unlock code (emphasis on "manually") and the game unlocked without a problem. So the unlock system works fine for me.
I'm wondering if the codepage might be causing the issues?
Scawen tried to help you, doesn't that mean he takes it seriously? We're just trying to figure out what the issue is. You aren't the only one having troubles with the unlock code. Please be patient.
When I said "I don't know who he is," I meant his personal (I met him today), but I do know he's a programmer. I saw he worked on several projects before LFS.
And finally, my goal was never to offend anyone (I greeted them on the forum and said, "Look, I have a problem, can you help me please?").
If somehere misinterpret this, I invite you to reread previous posts.
Random guess here, but if we assume you made a mistake when copying the code manually, and it also didn't work with Ctrl+C, could you maybe have selected the space before the code?
If that's the case, I would suggest the unlock code email display the code on its own line, rather than after a colon and a space (although double-clicking should select the code without the surrounding spaces).
It's no problem if you select the space. Spaces before and after are removed. If interested, you can safely test that, you don't lose any unlocks for failed or successful confirmations.
Yeah, first of all, why 59? 2*26 letters + 10 digits is 62, remove O, 0, I and l and you get 58.
Then the result itself is wrong: 59^20 is 2.612 403 355 × 10^35, while the AI basically said 7.573 809 985 × 10^33 for some reason...
and 58^20 = 1.855 922 647 × 10^35
I tried ChatGPT out of curiousity and while it seems to have the right "logic" and even knows it should be 58^20... it calculates it as 8.97x10^34 which is... not right lmao
If I had to guess for Grok's answer, it's parsing the 1-10 and including 0 in the character set because AI is really stupid and doesn't actually think
You people should document, what exactly you are doing when attempting to unlock it. Sounds like a lack of certain awareness to certain things, such as how-it-works.
After documentation, compare that to instructions. See what went wrong and adjust changes similar to instructions.
Now, other than that is different story.
EDIT: I am not intentionally making to set up this post so you look stupid/dumb, but doing documentation helps surprisingly lot. It all needs to have one very slight mistake. What I have read here, most of them are simply slight errors here or there.
