This is a conversion of an AC mod by Trained Monkey Modding, with a permission from Fuzo.

The Tatra 603 is a large rear-engined luxury car which was produced by the Czechoslovak company Tatra from 1956 to 1975. This version of the car was mostly used for endurance racing (84h endu races!) and was well known mainly for the air cooled V8 engine sound, blasting out of the pair of two massive ejectors.

It is not as powerful as it looks (my version is cca 170 hp / 220 Nm, weighing around 1390 kg) but I will try to make it fun to drive nonetheless

Oddly enough, those aren't exhaust pipes but parts of an ejector cooling system, which creates negative pressure making the cooling air flow faster.

I want to have it as it was on the real thing, so I will definitely keep them, even though they do look silly

I've finally put the steelies on from the original AC mod



Some progress with mapping the interior, slowly getting there...

A skinnable number sticker as a car configuration.




The interior mapping is done, I just need to create the skin template and it should be ready for review.

The car is now published as VALUTA V8: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/B7364B

Why Valuta? When the real Tatra 603 was in secret development, it was also planned to be exported foreign countries, so it was given this code name “Valuta” meaning “foreign currency” in Czech.

There are a few known issues with the mod that were pointed out to me, like wrong LOD2/LOD3 mappings, static wheel nuts or holes in some places. I’m going to fix those soon in version 2.

Love the car and how it handles

Found a little gap on the middle and where the rear windows are

The rear windows seem to have some kind of "outline" beyond the chrome borders which I guess should be matte but they are see-through (like it is on the front's windshield)

I think I didn't write it correctly. As I understand it, they are a part of the exhaust system, but the purpose of the big pipes is not just a fancy exhaust pipe tip, but rather a part of the ejector cooling.

Thumbnail looks a bit clickbait-ish but the video is good.
It has interesting footage of various Tatra cars using this kind of cooling system, including some single seaters.
