Worked in banks for 6 years as a client advisor for small & medium enterprises and agricultural households. Was earning up to 900 EUR per month, which was about 2.5 times country average or about 4 times average in the part of the country where I live.
Working hours increased gradually to 12+ hours a day, payment decreased gradually to about 700 EUR and finally lost the job at the beginning of 2010 as a consequence of global economic crisis.
Took some time to regroup, did some advising work for "old" clients in the meantime. Selling books now, as an every day work, but still doing advising work occasionally.
I am currecntly serving my 12 month military service, and are done 19 march 2012. So far in my military service I have taken then nessesary education to become a firemen, and are the rest of my time here working as firemen on a flight base long north.

I enjoy the work a lot, and I hope to be able to work with this after the 12 month service. The income is not good, but what could I expect? It's the military and they pay everything else for me so when you take all the +'s and -'es it's quite good income.

A BIG + is all the free time I get! I have 3 and a half week on, then 2 and a half week off. Even tho it's 1800km from home, the military pays the flight ticket home and back.

Quote from Crashgate3 :As long as you don't work in their Stocks & Shares ISA department. If you did I'd be forced to strangle you through the power of THE INTERNET.

Fortunately for me, I do not. Glad to know my neck can remain free from thou grasp.
I'm a web contractor / consultant, usually either PHP development or payment systems which I find **** boring but I've accidentally developed a reputation as a specialist. :/
Most specialists find their chosen speciality boring.
Quote from -NightFly- :Seems a pretty naive thought for me...for example, in estonia, prices of goods are as expensive as our neighbours: finland (sugar, milk etc are even more expensive btw)...but...paychecks are 4 times lower here.

Then you obviously haven't understood what i wrote. Low income countries need to raise thier wages so that when they buy from neighbouring countries they dont loose out. Which was pretty much what i said.

Quote from BullHorn :
I wanted to buy a G27 ($300US) but apparently all shops here sell it for $550US because of customs ($48US) + VAT ($48US) + shipping ($120US because Israel isn't part of Europe).

So can you buy a G25 in Egypt or Turkey? If so get a mate, fill a van, make $$'s.

Thine! Thine!

This is some pure economic genius right here.
Quote from anttt69 :Sounds like you need some economic stimulus.[/B]

Do you believe in fairies? Because that's no different in believing in government led economic stimulus. The last round of money printing stimulus (aka tax via inflation) has led us up even more debt shit street.

I was merely testing and you were the only one to pick up on it. Well done you!

I thought thou didn't sound correct.

Unemployed for longer then I care to admit, I decided to make my own job. I set up my Digital Slot Car Track at birthdays, festivals, malls, and fundraisers.

I am pondering adding LFS as an alternative thing to rent out... I plan to have 6 to 12 computers, with large lcds, and Logitech G27's on wheels to roll into place. I just do not have the cash to buy everything I need yet...
I plan to give away the LFS demo on CD/Flash to anyone that requests it when I am setup at public events, to try and get as many people into this game as possible.

Edit: First post? I could have swore I posted on here before... long time ago... oh well. I was away for a while, came back due to new patch/version.

clearly you work in a vauxhall dealer.
I work for the Ambulance service in the UK.

I work as an Emergency Medical Technician (Emergency Ambulance Staff); I work on Emergency Ambulances and a Rapid Response Car. My role sees me responding to calls ranging from a simple broken bone, to a fully involved cardiac arrest...and everything in-between!

I also work as a volunteer Community Responder, going to critical calls within a local set area, simply to beat full-time crews on route and offer immediate life saving care before they do.

At times it can be stressful and tedious, however most of the time is a total joy and very enjoyable. I love my job and wouldn't change it for the world.

It would be nice to see if there are any other LFS'ers involved in similar work here.

Regards,

Josh.
