Descent system?
I am looking to build a desktop system to get away from racing on my laptop. Its just not fast enough to run iRacing and struggles to run LFS.

I found this bundle which i think is descent but i need some feed back. Would this be a worth while purchase to run iRacing and LFS at a efficient level with lots of FPS at descent graphics?
  • OCZ (OCZ3G1333LV4GK) DDR3 PC3-10666 1333MHz Gold Edition Low Voltage 4GB (2x2048MB) Dual Channel
  • Intel Core i3 540 Dual-Core Socket LGA1156, 3.06Ghz, 4MB L3 Cache, 32nm (Retail Boxed) (BX80616I3540)

Thanks for the help. If its a good set up for the price what should i couple it with. tower, PS, HD and Video Card? The price is $274 CAD

Yea that's a decent* system, but the core i3 cpu is really low end, I'd rather get a core i5. And the video card is the most important thing when it comes to gaming.

yeah i think most if not all systems you can buy these days will comfortably play descent
actually you migh run into quite a few problem with current systems being largely incompatible to dos
also you wont but able to run a yamaha wavetable module on a modern motherboard with only pcie
and whats the point of playing descent if you dont get the awesome soundtrack?
