Yah.. well but wrc was like F1 .... it was supposed to drop jaws.... and be the top level... the wrc cars themselves had their monster auras..... i dont feel s2000 will have the same effect... but ofc.... im hoping ill be wrong and rallying will still be awesome.... (ok this year wasnt as exciting maybe .... but the action was still nice to watch..)

i also read during the photo search a news letter from october that Volkswagen wanted to build a Scirocco WRC! i will probably won't go in production now since WRC goes to s-2000 now

last thing: i think these S-2000 rallycars look and sound more agressive thand the normal WRC's

Well They don't look/sound as good as wrc.. come on be real... You can't say they sound/look better than antilag powered buffed up mosters ;p

ive seen both irl and it is true that the s2000 looks more boring compared to the wrc - but im positive about the "kit" version, i believe it will be more like back in the gr. A8 era (escorts, celicas etc.)

let`s hope there will still be WRC (as in World Rally Championship) in 2010 - seeing as suzuki pulled out from WRC today and there are also rumours about Subaru doing the same (should be confirmed tomorrow)...there won`t be much left and afaik stobart still have not confirmed their 2009 season :/

Isn't the whole "bringing the cost down" thing supposed to be benefiting the teams? Hasn't the FIA been talking to the teams at all to find out what they want?

and me thinking that the exclusion of WRC cars from other championships except WRC back in 2002 was the worst decision ever... I mean, this just deserves an /epic facepalm.

Yeah, sorry, that wasn't targeted at you. More of a rant on the possibility of the WRC losing even more teams.

I meant to point out that there's no point in the FIA bringing down costs if the teams don't really want it and pull out of the whole thing instead. Unless they've got other teams lined up to take over for the ones that leave it'll still ruin the sport, cheaper or not.

It just seems to me the FIA are running around like headless chickens making decisions to "save the sport" while the teams just have to watch from the sidelines until they get fed up and find something else to spend their money on. I doubt Suzuki (and Subaru?) would pull out if they though WRC was heading in the right direction with these cost cuts.

I don't know about you, but I find this much more spectacular. That's 415 HP at the rear wheels. And it's not even more dangerous because 1.3 tons just don't go that quickly around corners.

Anyway, I consider WRC an entry level competition from now on.
