I was trying to get hold of something to replicate and I stumbled onto the Vauxhall Racing Team. The skin looked good. here is a link to real car: http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/btcc2/btcc/vaux.html. Took me quite a long time. To get most (if not all) the decals. Here are the skins in 1024 and 2048 format.
Ok, I need to change the Telewest logo on the left side of the front, as you can see the letter is missing, I also need to change the Walkman logos on the front wings as they appear abit dodgy in the render i will place them in the inside wing. Otherwise its fine . THe glass is abit Matt but you said you will change so its ok. Good work as always but wait for me to change the sponsor logos. I can't do that now as I am at work. Will get home at 12:20 UK time and fix it. Only a minor adjustment.
I wasnt planning on making another vid, I am not the type that makes vids. But what I do want to say is:
1)When people just scrutenise you and say that your video is shit and that its so horrible that you can't watch it, it makes the person who made it not want to have anything to do with making a new video.
2)If you show off on a thread started by a guy who wants some help/feedback on improving and you just post saying my first vid is better then yours etc. Then it doesnt do anything for me either. You Demo Racer person did not post one good comment/sugestion. At least give some support.
3) Thankyou to those who said something constructive unlike that dickhead who thinks he is the best at everything without having an S2 License.
4)I hope I havent stirred anything up, and I thankyou to those who said something constructive.
If you want to make your own skin them I would also suggest to use the master skinnerz site as it has alot of tutorials and important templates. Apart from that welcome to S2.
EDIT: I would not suggest using the skins from the skins_x folder as some of them might not be public. Such as some of mine. Thus it is better to actually download them from the Skins section of the Forums. You will also get better quality from getting them direct from the Skins section rather than getting them 2nd hand. You can also find my GTR skin pack somewhere in there.
Hey Nuse, wow nice car, BTW if you dont know who I am - BlackWolf. you did all that with SMAX. I have to take lessons from you . I really want to see this finished though. Will look ace.
I was hoping you could render my 28 Days Later skin for the UFR, its not public (yet) as I am planning to make it for all cars. I dont want to see it on the track. It was quite hard because Bunta hasnt yet made a Pro-Kit for it, but i think he should as it is a GTR car. Anyway, Dave, or Ryan, please render this :P. Also can I have one with just one car and then I want two UFR's parked in opposite directions from a cool side angle. Thanks
EDIT: Can you do the same for UF1, and then have UFR and UF1 in one scene, would be grand
Man thanks, i owe you alot. Now i have to get started on that BMW skin i promised someone. You gota be here to render that one also . Good work and i love tha angle.
Righty. As I said I will post a GTR Skin Pack once I have finished work on my FXR skin. Which I have thanks to the help of Greboth. Here are the three skins - in order of which was made first to the most recent one:
OMG! man thanks alot, you just made my day Saw you on MG server yesterday evening. I am BlackWolf . Thanks alot for the skin, FZR one is ownage. I must get that program .
I will start work on the BMW skin later today, but I firstly need to finish my FXR skin with Greboth. So I have BMW on reserve. Should be done soon, unless someone beats me to it...
Since nobody has yet posted a thread on this (I think no-one has) then I shall proceed. Many people find that they come in too fast thus slaming on the brakes and hoping they will be ok.
The dangers of entering the pits too fast;
-You enter the pits at 150kph, the pit speed limit is only 80kph. You slam on the brake as soon as a Drive-Through Penalty message pops up and either; 1)Come to a halt. 2)Slow down to a crawling speed. 3)Loose control under heavy braking. -It is a 20 lap race and you pit when you see everyone else pit. You come in too fast and hit someone who is pitting in the first yellow marker, they are pushed forward and hit someone else, ETC. You are voted, and banned. -Your car is severely damaged and you need to pit. You start to sverve across the track, causing a collision.
There are many more things that can occur while trying to enter the pits. And here are some tips on how to avoid collisions, enter the pits properly, and stopping in the yellow markers.
-You need to enter the pits. Note to yourself earlier in the race where exactly the pit enterance is, so that you know when to start to slow down. Upon the need to pit; approach the pit enterance, if you need to turn left/right and there are cars along side you then cautiously slow down making sure you are clear of the other cars and use the appropriate indicator (if you car has one) - 7=Left Ind. 8=Right Ind. 9=Hazards. 0=No Ind. - to warn others further behind of your actions. If there is no-one directly behind you, make the move into the "PITS" markings (normally two yellow lines) and start to slow down to 100kph, at this point press the Limiter key "L" and apply brakes until you reach 70-75kph. Once acheived that speed you may apply full accelaration. When you have entered the pits do not turn into the first yellow box. Move further down and use the "V" button to switch to the no-dash view. Stop the car when your wheels are centered and are about half a metre away from the front part of the yellow box. The pitting will begin. Once complete use your mirrors to see if there is anyone else using the pit lane, and manouvre out appropriatly*.
-Your car is severely damaged and you need to enter the pits. Drive at a reasonable speed of around 100-120kph and stay on the outside of the racing line. If possible have your Hazzard lights on - Press "9" - to warn other players. Follow previous procedure for entering Pits. *- For exiting the Pits please read the following:
Some important notices: Drive-Throught Penalty-After you exit the pits you are required to do a lap in which you have to enter the pits and drive throught at the limit (80kph)
30/45 Second Time Penalty- Means that that amount of time will be added ontop your final time, thus if you finish 1st and get **:21.56 and #2 gets **:22.10, they will be ranked at #1 (I think)
This is a basic guide to exiting the pits and is not official. There is nothing complicated about doing so, apart from basic logic. If you want to post any rants, comments, errors, death-threats, compliments - they are accepted by me, and will be appriciated.
