For as long as rally exists, there will always be stupid spectators. I marshal at a variety of different rallies on the eastern coast of the U.S. and I've just about seen it all. There is only so much we can do to control a crowd, assuming these people were even within eye shot of a marshal. That's why I prefer doing time controls now, I don't have to deal with airheaded/drunken spectators.
If anyone happened to watch the Rally Argentina television footage, there was a scene that clearly showed two spectators crossing a part of a stage... narrowly avoiding one of the WRC cars. This happened at the famous water crossing section where I'd imagine there are tons of well-trained marshals.

Nope, watch from the car behind. The tire barrier gets smashed and a tire goes flying into the rear of your car.
I'll be visiting Ireland in two weeks... if I fire up LFS while I'm over there does that make me a an Irish LFS driver?

Yeah, the MRT definately mis-behaves whenever it gets a wheel off of the ground. It flips out when you try to tip it over or when you hit a barrier!

Looking through the list, something really stood out to me.
That'll completely screw me up when I'm hosting stage rally events! The last few events I've hosted have had around or more than 12 drivers, and if this is implimented it'll mean that I won't be able to see the times that the slower drivers posted. I really, REALLY hope this doesn't get implimented into the next patch.

Hard Drivin' was probably the one that got me going. Other memorables are Indy 500 listed above (until I lost the manual and couldn't play! ARG@!#%) and Virtua Racing.

I would consider a cross promotion or full blown SimRS sanctioning of the championship if you get some more details together and we can work out some of the basic rules. I'll keep an eye on this to see how it goes, if you'd be interested shoot me an email or pm.
Agreed. Exclusion is a bit harsh, but I agree that they're creating an unnecessary hazard to locals by driving on three wheels.
