sounds like you dont have the power supply for the FFB plugged in. Try that.

03-04 cobras dont handle all that bad. They have IRS on the 03 and o4 and it helps. Any car can be made to handle good its just depends on the skill level and how deep the pockets are.

nothing wrong with a muscle car. Especially one that can handle near 1000 bhp on stock bottom end

overclocking is an addiction for me. as long as temps and voltage are within acceptable levels its not gonna kill the chip instantly. ive already had a core i7 extreme 965 on my new motherboard at 5.4ghz on LN2. Ran it a few dozen times like that and the chip was perfectly normal when i sold it.

I have not installed LFS on it yet.

I am glad there are others that have the problem too. I guess i will just live with it. I bought another PC so i can have one while my test bed is under construction. No i am not a test bed for some Company wanting to do a review of a product. I run a very sophisticated system myself consisting of the latest and greatest hardware. I test hardware for my own satisfaction nobody elses. I run my processors and videos cards under LN2(yes i am a die hard geek) hardware to me is like porn but only thing about porn is that it gets boring after a few minutes. Hardware is my Life! But every now and then i like to sit back, relax and play a few games. So i have this other PC i bought that im going to install nothing but LFS on. I do use LFS as a test bed also. LFS is very very CPU dependent. i see bigger gains in LFS with a more powerful processor than a more powerful video card.

if your getting feedback in your brake pedal then a few things may be wrong.
1- your brake rotors are warped
2-your rear drums are warped
3-you have worn out tie-rod ends.
4 you have sticking calipers or pads wearing uneven.

There should be absolutely no feedback in the brake pedal except for 1 occasion. you have engaged abs, which will pulsate the crap out of the brake pedal.

Take your Car to a Mechanic and have your brake pedal checked ASAP cuz something is just not right.

The only way you are going to tell if you are locking the brakes in a non-ABS car is by knowing your car. Knowing at which speed and at how much pedal pressure is being applied before a certain wheel locks. The steering wheel will tell you if your locking a wheel!

LFS is heavily CPU dependent. Upgrading to a core 2 or something will give a better FPS increase.

ok with my rig. QX6850 4gb of ram and a HD4870 i can record with fraps at 100fps no problem. Trick is that AA will cause framerates to drop like mad.

But there is something better than FRAPS. Xfire has built in video capture. You have to manually set xfire so it recognizes LFS and when your in-game hit F9(or change the key binding) and it will record alot better even using AA/AF

Atleast i can work on my Talon if need be.

The gaming machine is the test machine. I could build another rig for just LFS and buy some cheap harware to run it i guess. Or maybe LFS can be like every other game i have and let me install it and play it as many times as i want. Just install and enter my cd-key back in and done!

why a VW scirroco? Hope they dont add breakdowns to LFS because the VW would never make a lap.

well not sure what i did wrong then as i pulled out a QX6850 and put in a E8400 and had to re-unlock LFS.

I honestly mostly play with hardware and benchmark. Once i find something that i like i will stick to it for maybe a month tops. Right now I am waiting for my i7 parts to arrive. I will reinstall LFS on my backup drive and see what happens.

I also generally dont do backups either. i dont stay on a windows install long enough to accumulate stuff i need to save. I have a few thousand songs on my backup drive that i will install LFS too

no motive going on here. and yes i do change harware that much. I've got new harware coming in the mail this coming up week so when that gets here i will install LFS on a spare 500gb hard drive i have and see if that works.

I will try it. that is once i am allowed to unlock it again. I tried playing demo today and it was just plain stupid, getting rammed and kicked by demo users for no reason.

i wished it were that easy. Last time i changed the CPU and had to re-unlock LFS. Anytime the hardware is changed i have to re-unlock. except for video cards. I go through hardware like no other. I have a backup drive i could install LFS on but i still dont think even that would work.
Tired of limited unlocks

Ok i go through about 2 or 3 windows installs every 2 weeks or so. I test hardware regularly. It is getting annoying having to wait x amount of time for my unlock to become available. I have paid for a license i feel i should be able to unlock it as many times as i need.

here is a replay i made until i messed up. i can usually take that corner but i hit the brakes and tried to turn at the same time which is a no no. you can notice on the low speed turns i keep getting lots of understeer.

the second replay shows whats happening to me alot!!!!

whats weird is that in real life i can countersteer no problem. I guess because i can really feel the car.

Ok i have been playing this game off and on since 2003. used keyboard for all this time and all i did was drift. Which i became good at. Well a few weeks ago i purchased a DFP and now i can actually drive. well to a certain extent. I cant Drift!!!! I cant seem to keep the RWD cars from oversteering on low speed corners(especially the bf1) I do my best to not give too much throttle exiting a corner but it never fails i end up spinning out. Also another thing that always gets me is the rumble strips. i can be going along nice and fast and have a good line and then i hit a rumble strip and i end up losing it. Anything out there i can try to help me out? I have downloaded every single setup on Team inferno!!
