Well I found out today that when I register my car tomorrow that it will take 5 days to get the reg number done. I am going to try to get it done in one day, it can be done but chances are that it won't happen in time.
I will try to work something out in terms of transport to southampton but its not looking good. I could keep the rental car over the weekend but thats another 70 pounds on top of the 2k my wife and I have already paid to get the car through SVA and registration.... I will try my hardest to figure something out though, I want to come... who knows I may be able to sweet talk the nice DVLA person into getting the paperwork through while I wait.
I always use as much brake as I can. The fastest sets always use a ton of brake, thats what I am used to. I am having major issues with the XRG set and I can barely break into the 43's... I don't know what I am doing wrong
It's very easy until you start using the brakes and then the lockups majorly upset the car to the point it's not drivable.
I should say though that all the sets are drivable and I am happy with them. They are just not setup for the pace I am used to, but I don't mind, they are still fun to drive and get difficult quickly when trying to lay down some nice laps.
I had major stablity problems aswell. They go away though if you don't use a ton of brake and I was running 1:19's with a PB of 1:18.90. This set is tricky due to the diffs unloading all the time but it is fun to drive.
I will edit this post and put up about the XRG set soon.
XRG is nice, gearing is off still but much better. I am running 43's and 44's with it. I gave the set to Skylark and he was running 41's so my driving is crap....
The problem I have with the FXO GTR is power unloading through the diffs making the car funny to drive. I didn't get many laps in with the the set (7 at the most) and I will test it more today. I will check out the updated XRG set aswell.
The problem is not showing a replay of a PLATINUM racer, it's showing a replay PERIOD and dragging it onto the forum in a public way. This is not the place for this and your trying to attack this person in a public manner which is against the rules of this forum that you agreed to when making your username. No matter how you word your post that is what this kind of post is trying to achieve. Sending the replay to STCC will prevent this driver from ever racing again if indeed the replay does show what you say it shows so you will hopefully never have this problem again =)

Please remove the replay U4IK ST8. If you have a problem with someone's driving please send it to the STCC server admins via the wrecker report system and use the STCC site for any questions regarding the incident. This is not the place for this.

I don't have a problem with the gearing, it's not perfect but it will work. In RL you don't get the option of a bazillion different gearsets anyways =) Having fun is all I am worried about and the set will definatly provide that.
I have problems with the inside rear lighting up on exit but it's not a major issue and I will live with it. Keeping the Diff where it's at now will prevent anyone from really upsetting the car when they throttle on IMO.
I put a few laps in with the sets. The FXO I could use more practice on before I say much with that =)
The XRG was plesent. The gearing was off for me but I can live with that, in RL unless you have a ton of cash you have to live with the gearing you have anyways =) I did have issues with lockup and diff unloads, but I am happy with the set and I don't think it really needs changing. The set reflects more of something you would really see in a road prep track car I feel.
24 here with very little real track time. With my track time sitting in Dodge's SRT lineup running aroudn Road America. With the Magnum and Charger we hit over 130 and about 125 in the crossfire. It was really fun coming off the backstrech and heading up Thunder Valley and going through Kohler Tunnel at 90MPH and watching the track show it'self was one of the most exciting experiences I ever had.
I grew up around oval racing with my Dad an ex racer and my Uncle that used to race Amature AMA in his 82 CBR 900RR
Sim racing wise I consider myself to be a decent racer with the ability to lay down some decent lap times with some practice. I run in the STCC with the RB4 which takes up most of my online time recently.
I drive a 2005 Dodge SRT-4 ACR for a daily driver which I plan to take to the tracks. People in the UK don't know anything about this car but for a quick glance it does 0-60 in 5.3 seconds with my PB 1/4 mile time at 13.77@101MPH and with the ACR package skidpad is nearing .95 or so and 700 foot slalom at about 76MPH (hedging right up along side the Viper) 60-0 in about 110 feet.
Major down side is it's FWD, it's an upside though too because my insurance is less than 800pounds a year. 30MPG AND it seats 5.. I need to stop now =) I always get too carried away with my car. Anyways I should have it registered by the 14th so you all can see this rare car. 1 of 1200 ever built with this one probably the only one in the UK.
Yeah that's usually what happens =) I would comment on NIKI's driving but everyone knows how it is and because this happened on the STCC servers I will refrain from saying anything. Needless to say there was enough there to ban him but the admins were feeling generous that day.
I love the idea. Maybe we could put a nice package together, get it up and running, get it up and running to STCC standard then approach Becky and say this is what we have and we think it would be great if STCC endorsed us =)
I think you overrate yourself. Maybe you should reconsider driving the FXO next time and pick a real car that doesn't have a 3 second advantage on the big tracks even on the short tracks there is over .5 of a second =/
