I can't reproduce that with my install (neither t13 nor z15). Could you try it with a fresh install (in a new dir) to see if maybe something went wrong in the patch process?

it seems that only german accounts are involved. can i also assume that these people are in the german forum as well and used the same email?

could it be that the retrieve pw function is bugged?

hmm, maybe it's just me, but I don't really get what all the fuss is about.

ahm, we exactly had that with the scirocco. scawen announced on what he was working and told us when he hoped to release it. look what happend.

if he says he's on feature X it will become a "we'll get feature X with the next patch, he promised so" and people will start complaining again why it only this feature and when lfs will support klingon. it just doesn't work.

Something tells me that Scawen isn't doing this (or maybe he is via the unlock system), because as i've said before he's a bit of a communist when it come to commercial exploitation of hi userbase, but the point being that it's the hardware in use by the demo users which should have the greatest influence over what hardware aspects are implemented - because put simply, that's real data and not hypothesis.

I wonder how other people feel about the collecting of that kind of information. To me I don't see it as an issue, but I know how upset some people can get over 'information'.

This would get rid of most of the problems and spare us some of this bullshit like the "N" versions.

Having said that, I don't want 90% of the pre-installed software (mostly even just trial versions) every new pc comes bundled with.

I think you can change quite a bit with your average suspension, just not as much as lfs allows you (rangewise)

As OEM version (if I had to buy one) I'd say max 100€ for the ultimate version. I don't understand the advantage of having so many different versions, the XP way (Home and Professional) was way more clear and simpler. But hey...

Anyway, I'll still stick to my XP unless there is a need to update.
