I started back online after a long break(still dabbled offline though) and as usual cant understand why the lx4/6 isnt so popular.
what really grinds my gears is half the gt drivers are clueless, they see a car with slicks and power and wont drive anything else, yet they cant drive the things in the first place as they are f/4wd,and alot less fun.
all i can say is they need to get in the cars that require some skill to drive and not just point and squirt,lx6 till i die

As a street circuit its one of the best, unfortunately with all street circuits it brings big disruption for those living in or nearby.Sydney should be interesting at the end of the season.

I remember seeing the porsches qualifying on TV in the wet but it was glorious on race day,a taste of what the Aussie summer is like.

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM : It rained a bit when the Indy race was on.

Are we talking about the 2008 race here,it was 35c, the hottest day of my 3 week family visit.

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :but in all seriousness, if you look at last year's IndyCar at surfers, when the track was wet during the race, there were soooo many drivers spinning out on the track. The track wasn't even that wet, yet many drivers managed to spin out.

Hang on it wasnt wet at Indy,i should know,i was there !

I think BMW have incorporated something similar in the current 5 series, dont know if its in any other BMW`s or other manufacturers.it reduces the steering ratio at high speed, supposed to help whilst on motorways.

Quote from Rappa Z : Did anyone else notice, it looked like Kimi's left rear was flat after he crashed?

Why is the LX4 so unpopular? IMO its the most satisfying to drive.

the rain on the previous day meant he slid away as the bike dug in,just his pride hurt.was a great day out but when it comes to getting pics, you have very few decent places.
I went straight to the inside of turn 1 which filled up very quickly and was nearly impossibe to track the bike before it appeared from behind the fence.after the warm up i went down to the craner curves which definately was the best spot for pics. For the GP race, i met a mate up at starkeys bar and although a great spot to view(and very popular/busy) pics were spoilt again by the fence.
Shame that they need fences to keep the fans off the track. they didnt work too well as fans were track side as stoner passed under the bridge in front of starkeys on the last lap, very dissapointed and suprised that there has been no mention about that, they could jeopardise the future of the British GP if it happens again.

where you get close to the track, arent they high fences which would spoil any pictures? picture opportunities look good at the foggy chicane and the melbourne hairpin dont they?
TIA again!

i thought they ceased trading and sold off the remaining units on ebay.
its too expensive and a niche market to be a success.its a pity though.

i think the combination of close racing on the best circuit in the world make it my highlight of the year.yeah le mans is good but do we ever get any close racing there nowadays with audi`s dominance? the alms series is proving itself as very watchable with porsche giving audi a big kickin at the mo but i miss the aston vs corvette battles. shame there isnt more porsche vs ferrari scraps like the sebring finale this year.

the bathurst weekend is usually the first weekend in october, sandown is this weekend and bathurst follows soon after normally.

i think the tyres are making rossi look like a shadow of his former self.
about time michelin stepped up to the plate and took the fight to bridgestone or else next season is going to be even more embarassing for the michelin runners.

just checked the motors tv forums and the sandown and bathurst rounds arent being shown live:mad:
just hope we get full race replays or they might be blood spilt :chair:
apparently the alms race at road atlanta overlaps, but i just checked the v8 web site and they have delayed the start by 30 mins to fit in 45th anniversary celebrations and that means an overlap of only 30 mins. im flippin furious at this, the best race of the year and will have to wait 10hrs before we get to see it.
is motors tv on a big decline? less live racing nowadays,i can only take so much ama superbike racing !!
