so you know what they want ?
i think you interpret things like you want to
you say it's a video game?? isn't it a on line race simulator? (i would be insulted if i was a dev)
and this is a suggestions treat and i suggested roll cages and explained why i did (and with me others)
there are no good reasons (at least in my opinion) why they aren't in every car
look around the forum ,
people are constant comparing lfs with rl
so i think most people want it to be as "real " as it can get
i believe most suggestions and complains are about that
you are forced to drive with a helmet and race suit !
does that bother you?(or anybody that want to cruise , don't see anybody on the road with a helmet around here)
in rl you must (in most countries)have a roll cage in a racing car but you can't just put some performance parts on it
every racing class have his rules!
here we had citroen ax,saxo, renault clio ,austin metro ......
they were (are) standard (class N) cars, i believe in great Britain there are a lot of these classes
never seen one
or do you mean the sport cars with the cages build in the chassis as a part of the car?
thats not like the "street" cars
in the Netherlands every race class has a roll cage, fire extinguisher and power off switch
the driver has to have a race suit ,underwear, shoes, gloves and helmet
in rl a car have to compile with at least the safety regulations before you can race it on a track
so i also like to see roll cages in the "street "cars
and in my opinion the numberplate's look a little off on a race car
instead just the possibility to put your own text on the bumper?
here are same skins of mine (not high quality but OK) http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/femdre/skin.htm
the grey yellow one i keep for myself for now
the golden (trash)one is also showing on line
this is what it said on a site about rd 3
(it was to overcome force feedback issues)
quote: Heres the deal you can either 'Ctrl-Alt-Del and change the priority of the Racedriver or you can add this the begining of the target line in the properties of the of TRD3 shortcut line
open the shortcut on your desktop (right mouse , properties) and place this in front of the target
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c start "" /abovenormal "
then it looks like C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c start "" /abovenormal "C:\LFS\LFS.exe
then it always start in high priority
when i read around the forum i come to the conclusion most lfs players want to get as close to real racing as it can get .
then i assume most players want to race by the real rules.
the problem is that there are people who think they know the rules.
(the black flag incident for example )
this is taken from :appendix h of the international sporting code (FIA)
aldo whe have not (yet?) have all the flags http://www.fia.com/sport/Regulations/sportcoderegs.html
4.1.2 Flag signals to be used at observation posts:
a) Red fl ag:
This should be shown waved only on instruction from the Clerk
of the Course when it becomes necessary to stop a practice
session or the race. All drivers are required to slow down
immediately and proceed to the pit lane (or the place foreseen
by the regulations of the Event), and must be prepared to stop if
necessary. Overtaking is not permitted.
b) Yellow fl ag:
This is a signal of danger and should be shown to drivers in two
ways with the following meanings:
- Single waved: Reduce your speed, do not overtake and be
prepared to change direction. There is a hazard beside or
partly on the track.
- Double waved: Reduce your speed, do not overtake and be
prepared to change direction or stop. There is a hazard wholly
or partly blocking the track.
Yellow fl ags should normally be shown only at the marshals’ post
immediately preceding the hazard.
In some cases however the Clerk of the Course may order them
to be shown at more than one marshals’ post preceding an
incident.
Overtaking is not permitted between the fi rst yellow fl ag and the
green fl ag displayed after the incident.
Yellow fl ags should not be shown in the pit lane unless there is an
incident of which the driver should be made aware
c) Yellow fl ag with red stripes:
This should be shown motionless to inform drivers that there is
a deterioration of adhesion due to oil or water on the track in the
area beyond the fl ag.
This fl ag should be displayed, for at least (depending on the
circumstances) 4 laps unless the surface returns to normal
beforehand. It is not however necessary for the sector beyond
where this fl ag is being shown to show a green fl ag.
d) Light Blue fl ag:
This should normally be waved, as an indication to a driver that
he is about to be overtaken. It has different meanings during
practice and the race.
At all times :
- A stationary fl ag should be displayed to a driver leaving the pits
if traffi c is approaching on the track.
During practice :
- Give way to a faster car which is about to overtake you.
During the race :
- The fl ag should normally be shown to a car about to be
lapped and, when shown, the driver concerned must allow the
following car to pass at the earliest opportunity.
e) White fl ag:
This fl ag should be waved and is used to indicate to the driver
that there is a much slower vehicle on the sector of track
controlled by that fl ag point.
f) Green fl ag:
This should be used to indicate that the track is clear and should
be waved at the observation post immediately after the incident
that necessitated the use of one or more yellow fl ags.
- It may also be used, if deemed necessary by the Clerk of the
Course, to signal the start of a warm-up lap or the start of a
