lol I drive different cars and race cars all the time, and when I push them to the limits when steering, and the car starts to understeer, I can feel it, especially when the front wheels start hopping, and when recovering from severe understeer the wheel snaps back into place really hard, unlike LFS.
so ughh how about some "canned effects" force feedback

optional of course

would love to be able to feel the front wheels losing grip from understeer, more feeling of the road surface and its changes, and perhaps a better center pull feeling in the feedback, there seems to be a sloppy point as it is right now, I dont notice this in other sims. Also it would be nice if we could edit the force feedback, Id like to setup my feedback to have a tighter feel for centering forces, but loose when bringing the wheel around from oversteer or a drift, right now when the feedback is turned up high, the centering force is tight, but really stiff when turning the wheel back from oversteer/counter steer, it should be way looser feeling like it is in a real vechicle.

any opinions?
lol devs should hire this guy to make engine samples

Cartoony. Sluggish. Slow. Made my (a bit old) P4 2.4GHz / 512MB DDR / 9800 Radeon Pro setup suffer pretty badly. It's better when you're alone on the time trial and no other cars are around, but what's the point there?

I can run LFS fine on a full grid without a hitch, even 3-4 cars on the track in GTR gives me 15-20fps.

LOL cartoonish? perhaps you need a hardware update, this certainly does not look cartoonish in anyway. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=173568#post173568

so far so good, the force feedback is awesome, some shots i grabbed. LFS needs FF like this, at least an option anyways, the feeling of the cars is great, you feel really connected with the road surface and its changes.

Quote from SpaceMarineITA :How have u modded ur dfp in that way?

Seems very nice, lets explain something

P.S: Nice avatar xD

cut off the old wheel and bolted on the 13" Grant wheel

Quote from Mc21 :Yeah that's a cool DFP. Did you change the degrees for GTL? Or does it still say 270, and you change it via profiler?

I have it set tp 720 degrees in the DFP settings nope dont change via profiler, just use the 720 for both sims I play oh yea I turn wheel compensation to 100% in LFS for the F1 car, so it dont have to rotate all the way

Quote from immense :how did you put that steering wheel on? i really want to do something like that to mine

cut off the old wheel and bolted on the 13" Grant wheel hehe

Quote from Michael Denham :Nice vids. That larger diameter wheel looks good for precise inputs. Do you find it helps over a smaller one, or is just more fun?

I like the GT40 at the 'ring video, makes me want to get GTL just for the sound...and a clutch pedal and shifter...

Oh ya it kills the small 10" wheel, it took a little while to get used to, but now ill never go back to a small wheel again it adds way more fun to the sims

lol its even has small button shifters I use for the F1 car ill grab some pics later

I havent read anything in this thread, but after I installed U11, every single control was wiped out, i had to re-assign all my axis's and buttons, took me about 10 minutes  everything was so messed up

To bad that the feeling of "understeer" is not programmed into the effects.

Quote from BWX232 :It actually looks pretty fun to drive but I think it is bigger than my real car's wheel...
